  1. Yeah. In the previous class, we've talked about, okay, in
  2. our previous class, we talked about what makes a great
  3. product and what makes a great product is really important,
  4. but that's not enough to build great products.
  5. You actually need to be a great product manager to
  6. build great products.
  7. And that's what we're going to talk about.
  8. We're going to tackle that in three steps.
  9. The first step is the product stack, We're going to
  10. look at the different superpowers or skills that product managers
  11. need to have and then the tools that empower them
  12. to be great and master these superpowers.
  13. And we're going to look at that across the different
  14. stages of the product lifecycle.
  15. But we're also going to be very cognizant of the
  16. fact that we are all snowflakes as product managers and
  17. so who we are, what products we build, what industry
  18. we work on really impacts the definition of these superpowers
  19. or competencies or skills however you call them.
  20. And we're going to also give you ways that you
  21. can create your own superpowers.
  22. Come up with superpowers that you want to grow into.
  23. And then we're going to show you tools that help
  24. you accelerate mastering these superpowers.
  25. So that's our first module here.
  26. The second module, we're going to take the different stages
  27. of growth, the product life cycle and we're going to
  28. integrate what we learn in the first class, the product
  29. equation into the product life cycle.
  30. Like when you're at an early stage, what do you
  31. need to focus on and align your team behind.
  32. When it comes to the product equation, it's really acquiring
  33. more customers.
  34. When you're in growth stage, you really want to engage
  35. your existing customers wide, acquiring new ones.
  36. And then when you're at a more mature stage the
  37. focus which is more to monetization.
  38. So we're going to dive into that in the second
  39. module. How do you as a product manager, adapt your
  40. focus, adapt the product equation to feed your needs.
  41. And then finally, we're going to have a module that's
  42. dedicated to gaining internal alignment.
  43. This is especially relevant in super large organizations, organizations that
  44. have complex product portfolios, that have complex teams where the
  45. organization and the layers and the matrix make it hard
  46. sometimes to ship product and that's what we're all here
  47. to do.
  48. So we're going to look at how to effectively prioritize
  49. how to communicate, prioritization effectively to customers to internal stakeholders,
  50. to engineering teams, how we do that differently, depending on
  51. who we're talking to so that we can get stuff
  52. done right ship great products.
  53. Okay, so let's get started with the first module, the
  54. product stack and how PMS and superpower.
  55. And Okay, so let's get started with the first module,
  56. the product stack and look at what are the superpowers
  57. and what are the tools that enable great product managers?
  58. All right.
  59. So that's the intro to the first module of the
  60. second class.
  61. Now I'm going to record the intro to, but now
  62. I'm going to stop there.
  63. Um yes, I'm gonna switch over.
  64. So this section will fit right after the end of
  65. the description of all the superpower and the award advisory
  66. board. And there's a sentence that's the superpower that you're
  67. going to need in order to make your product successful.
  68. And I'm going to be recording a transition that will
  69. then be inserted like right after that sentence.
  70. And right before the sentence that starts by describing all
  71. the tools that says, first of all are their tools
  72. for product managers.
  73. Right? So, this section is really that transition.
  74. All right, let me give it a shot.
  75. The product you're going to the Super Bowl, you're going
  76. to need in order to make your own product successful.
  77. Mm. Yeah.
  78. Now thinking about competencies or superpowers, when you think about
  79. the product stack is not enough.
  80. I mean it used to be enough, but now you
  81. have something new in the product mentioned discipline, which is
  82. the product stack and the tools that enable these superpowers.
  83. So that's when it goes, Like, first of all, are
  84. their tools for product managers.
