00:00 - 00:01
Hello, class.
00:01 - 00:02
This is Jason Franzen.
00:02 - 00:05
I'm here today to fulfill our discussion this week and
00:05 - 00:07
submit our commercial for the N F L D program.
00:08 - 00:09
6 90.
00:13 - 00:13
Hello, everyone.
00:14 - 00:15
This is Jason Franz, and I'm here today to talk
00:15 - 00:19
about the Why the Why about, er au and the
00:19 - 00:23
masters of science and leadership and what brought me to
00:23 - 00:24
this program?
00:25 - 00:28
What brought me to this program is a lifetime of
00:28 - 00:33
experience from high school playing sports and getting through academia
00:35 - 00:39
2019 years old, taking my first crack at college and
00:39 - 00:41
then ending up in the military where I went in.
00:42 - 00:44
And I did 23 a half years of service to
00:45 - 00:48
our nation and ultimately put on my blues for the
00:48 - 00:51
very last time and got that retirement in.
00:53 - 00:55
I had a great resume full of much experience.
00:56 - 00:58
I found myself in a lot of different job interviews,
00:59 - 01:01
and the resonating fact was that I had great, great,
01:02 - 01:07
great experience, but I didn't have civilian certification to back
01:08 - 01:08
myself up.
01:09 - 01:13
I got my undergraduate within two years after I got
01:13 - 01:16
out of the military in aeronautics, and I found myself
01:17 - 01:20
wanting to continue school in this organization.
01:21 - 01:23
Wonderful school with a great worldwide program.
01:24 - 01:28
I found the MSL D program here at M A
01:28 - 01:33
Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide on the map here I'm in
01:33 - 01:33
Madison, Alabama.
01:35 - 01:38
My satellite E r AU site is here in Huntsville,
01:38 - 01:41
Alabama, and we work really well together, and I have
01:41 - 01:44
found much success by doing school.
01:45 - 01:49
In this reason, in this way, the leadership program really
01:50 - 01:52
fit. Who I was, someone that's been a leader in
01:52 - 01:55
sports, been a leader in the military and has been
01:55 - 01:57
a leader in my family and in my community.
01:59 - 02:01
When I looked at all the different pillars of this
02:01 - 02:04
program, I knew it was a fit for me.
02:05 - 02:08
Yeah, After I went through, I realized that it was
02:08 - 02:10
a lot less about me and a whole lot more
02:11 - 02:11
about other people.
02:12 - 02:14
A lot of people would shake my hand and they
02:14 - 02:17
would say, Hey, thanks a lot for your service, but
02:17 - 02:18
what can you do for me?
02:19 - 02:21
And I realized right then and there that it was
02:21 - 02:24
imperative that I took off my uniform and I didn't
02:24 - 02:25
forget where I came from.
02:26 - 02:28
But I was happy to bridge the gap with one
02:29 - 02:29
of these right here.
02:31 - 02:35
Okay, put a couple of these on the wall and
02:35 - 02:41
quantify myself in a civilian capacity for my whole life's
02:41 - 02:46
work. So with that said, that's the why we have
02:46 - 02:51
to quantify ourselves for our life's work on paper, so
02:51 - 02:54
that when we fill out our resumes, we stand before
02:54 - 02:55
potential employers.
02:56 - 02:57
They look at us and they know that we do
02:58 - 03:03
have the life experience and the education to execute in
03:03 - 03:03
their organizations.
03:05 - 03:09
With that being said, Eagles fly high and go execute
03:10 - 03:12
in the M S L D program at Emory it'll
03:13 - 03:14
Aeronautical University Worldwide.
