00:01 - 00:03
Hello. My name is Jazz and Black Share.
00:03 - 00:07
And I am here to present to you my business, Finding You. Foundation.
00:07 - 00:11
And on the right I have presented our logo for our business as well.
00:11 - 00:14
Now for our program we like to target
00:14 - 00:18
different populations because we have two different programs.
00:18 - 00:19
We have a program A. And a program B.
00:19 - 00:24
Which why I will get into more detail later on in the presentation. But for program A.
00:24 - 00:29
We target substance abusers and we target behavioral people with behavioral
00:29 - 00:31
per for program B.
00:31 - 00:36
We um tend to target or want to target unsheltered individuals or individuals or
00:36 - 00:39
families who are in domestic abuse relationships
00:39 - 00:42
or you know situations with their families.
00:42 - 00:46
So those are the populations that we would like to target in our program.
00:47 - 00:51
For an overview of the services as I said within program A.
00:51 - 00:55
We like to target um substance abusers and people you know
00:55 - 00:58
who are homeless but have you know behavioral health conditions.
00:58 - 01:04
We want to tend to their um their uh physical health um and help them.
01:04 - 01:08
So we offer medical services um rehabilitation to help them gain sobriety.
01:08 - 01:14
Um We offer nursing um nurse aid to help them. We also offer mental health services.
01:14 - 01:15
So we have
01:16 - 01:20
we have um licensed clinical social workers and counselors to
01:20 - 01:22
help them with their mental as they gain their sobriety.
01:22 - 01:27
Um We also also offer social services you know to get them government assistance.
01:27 - 01:30
Um Things of that nature and we also offer we
01:30 - 01:33
want to give them you know the personal needs that
01:33 - 01:36
they need um whether it be clothing um nice grooming
01:36 - 01:39
to you know make them feel good about themselves.
01:39 - 01:43
Um And we also offer developmental serve um courses for program B.
01:44 - 01:50
Um program B. Is more so of a um housing type of service.
01:50 - 01:54
So we like to provide housing for individuals who don't have shelter.
01:54 - 01:56
We like to provide um
01:57 - 01:59
housing for people of domestic,
01:59 - 02:01
you know abused relationships and they want to get away from that.
02:02 - 02:05
So we offer housing um We also offer job opportunities.
02:05 - 02:08
We connect them with jobs and with people that will give them
02:08 - 02:11
jobs and to help them you know get back on their feet.
02:11 - 02:14
And we also offer personal needs to these members as well.
02:14 - 02:18
And we offer transportation to jobs and we offer educational courses.
02:18 - 02:23
Um These educational courses are to help them um gain higher educational skills.
02:23 - 02:26
You know maybe they only have a high school diploma or
02:26 - 02:29
things of that nature and maybe they did want to you know
02:29 - 02:32
receive more education and so we have services that give them more
02:32 - 02:36
education and fields or careers that they would like to pursue.
02:37 - 02:39
So for a program a the hours of
02:39 - 02:42
operation is from 8 to 5 p.m.
02:43 - 02:47
So this is more so so the the the unit is a hotel
02:47 - 02:52
type of structure um where we are offering them a hotel base.
02:52 - 02:56
But we offer we offer this Services the medical services,
02:56 - 02:58
the mental health services.
02:58 - 03:02
We offer all of those services within the company but it's from 8-5.
03:02 - 03:05
Um and after hours we do offer nurse aiding
03:05 - 03:07
care to the ones who need some supervision.
03:07 - 03:10
So it's an 8-5 for um
03:11 - 03:13
for medical care and mental health services.
03:13 - 03:15
But for the supervision,
03:15 - 03:18
those are overnight services for program be the hours of
03:18 - 03:22
operation is from 8 to 5 as well within this.
03:22 - 03:24
Um that is if you need help with the housing,
03:24 - 03:28
if you need help with anything of that nature, if you need help educational courses,
03:28 - 03:30
you know, job seeking those opportunities,
03:30 - 03:34
those all operate from the 8 to 5 um time frame.
03:34 - 03:39
And so yeah, moving forward. The location of program A um I'm
03:40 - 03:43
I'm targeting back home with in favor of north Carolina.
03:43 - 03:47
Um and so program A will be in the area where the martin Luther king JR freeway
03:47 - 03:51
um and it goes over Gillespie street and within
03:51 - 03:53
that area there is a lot of homelessness,
03:53 - 03:55
there are a lot of homeless people.
03:55 - 03:56
Um there are a lot of people who are
03:56 - 03:59
you know struggling and show that they need assistance.
03:59 - 04:01
And so I really want to you know,
04:01 - 04:05
structure program A which is the hotel like hotel like vision.
04:05 - 04:07
I would like to structure that there.
04:07 - 04:09
Um and I want to structure that there to
04:09 - 04:12
target those people to bring give those people,
04:12 - 04:14
you know a shelter, you know, clothing,
04:14 - 04:18
grooming all of the resources and assistance that they need and for program B I
04:18 - 04:23
would like to have those locations across Favell and hope meals because it is a
04:24 - 04:29
housing housing type structure where it's like different apartments and
04:29 - 04:32
we're giving you shelter um I wanted you know all
04:32 - 04:36
across you know the entire state of north Carolina you
04:36 - 04:39
know but specifically with in Fayetteville and hope meals um
04:39 - 04:43
to just you know give the resources you know not
04:43 - 04:46
only to a specific you know area but to allow
04:46 - 04:49
it to you know be given to homeless people or
04:49 - 04:52
people of domestic abuse within home meals or in Fayetteville.
04:52 - 04:55
So I just wanted within those areas
04:56 - 05:01
now moving on for employment for my business for program A.
05:01 - 05:05
Which is targeting substance abuse um and behavioral conditions.
05:05 - 05:09
I for my employment I have two psychologist positions.
05:09 - 05:11
Um six therapists whether it be
05:11 - 05:14
licensed clinical social workers counselors etcetera.
05:14 - 05:16
I have four mentors, six
05:17 - 05:17
to
05:17 - 05:20
nurses to doctors, preferably family doctors.
05:20 - 05:24
Because we're more it's not um the building or the
05:24 - 05:27
services offered are more just medical services in general.
05:27 - 05:30
And so I want six registered nurses, six P.
05:30 - 05:35
RN nurse aides which means um those are the nurses that will rotate within
05:35 - 05:39
the supervision shifts that I was speaking of prior and I want six caseworkers.
05:39 - 05:42
And the reason I am maximizing this amount or making it so
05:42 - 05:47
big is because you don't want to overload your your employees employees.
05:47 - 05:52
And so that's why I want a good amount of employees to service all of you know,
05:52 - 05:54
these people that we are bringing in.
05:54 - 05:57
So the case work and you know won't be overloading for each of them.
05:57 - 05:59
And for the program be
05:59 - 06:03
I would like to have 10 caseworkers and five educational director's.
06:03 - 06:07
Um the reason my employment for this one is so small is because
06:07 - 06:11
it's we're we're tending to their needs but it's in a different way.
06:11 - 06:14
Um we're giving them shelter and we're giving them a case worker
06:14 - 06:18
who is going to attach them to you know government assistance,
06:18 - 06:18
insurance,
06:18 - 06:22
all of these things that will help them in gaining independence in society.
06:22 - 06:25
And the five educational directors are just for them to you know
06:25 - 06:29
receive um the education if they want to further their education.
06:29 - 06:32
But for the program be we are strictly providing them with um
06:33 - 06:36
we are strictly providing them with housing and you know,
06:36 - 06:39
clothing and grooming all of their personal needs that they need.
06:39 - 06:44
Um And so that's why it's not that we need so much more employment for that program.
06:44 - 06:50
But for the organization as a whole. Um um and I will need a vice president position.
06:50 - 06:54
I will need a Treasurer Secretary, a Chief financial officer.
06:54 - 06:57
And this person handles the finances of the entire business.
06:57 - 07:00
Um for program am program be together,
07:00 - 07:03
this person oversees the fine finances overseas,
07:03 - 07:07
where our donations are grants are coming in and
07:07 - 07:09
where we still need funding things of that nature.
07:09 - 07:14
Um The Chief data officer. Chief marketing officer. Chief security officer.
07:14 - 07:16
Um We will need an executive assistant as
07:16 - 07:19
well and a department head and a specialist.
07:19 - 07:23
The department head um would be for each of the program A and
07:23 - 07:27
program be this person is to make sure that the department is running.
07:27 - 07:30
Um And it's effective things of that nature
07:31 - 07:34
moving forward for the success of this business.
07:34 - 07:37
The goal for this business is to help decrease the rates of
07:37 - 07:39
homelessness and increase the rates of
07:39 - 07:42
productivity and economic growth within society.
07:42 - 07:45
So with homeless people, you know, they tend to um
07:46 - 07:49
they're not working, they're not productive within society.
07:49 - 07:52
And so within this company we are helping them to be
07:52 - 07:56
productive to better themselves to get back out in the community
07:56 - 07:59
and start working and that will boost their economic growth and
07:59 - 08:02
the economic growth of these um of society as well.
08:02 - 08:07
And our other goal is to provide for those who are facing other barriers um
08:07 - 08:12
um with adequate governmental assistance and other resources
08:12 - 08:14
so that they can become productive citizens.
08:14 - 08:18
And that is the main goal is to become productive citizens within society again.
08:18 - 08:20
Um So this business,
08:20 - 08:24
this business will be successful because it offers many opportunities
08:24 - 08:27
for individuals to better themselves to better their families.
08:27 - 08:28
Um and things of that nature.
08:28 - 08:33
And this program also provides positive impact not only on, you know,
08:33 - 08:36
the individual but the economy, the public health because you know,
08:36 - 08:39
while people are on the streets um they can, you know,
08:39 - 08:43
develop different type of things and it they may not know,
08:43 - 08:45
they may not be able to seek the treatment for it.
08:45 - 08:48
And so it just spreads as they're going from, you know,
08:48 - 08:50
this location to that location and it may spread.
08:50 - 08:54
So that's why it's um aiding public health and society as well.
08:55 - 09:03
So the competition that may appear within this structure um is I've looked up,
09:03 - 09:06
you know, different programs that already exist in, you know,
09:06 - 09:08
north Carolina for homeless shelters.
09:08 - 09:11
And there are a few programs, they have homeless shelters,
09:11 - 09:15
they have supportive housing, they have halfway housing, low income housing and,
09:15 - 09:18
you know, residential alcohol and drug treatment centers.
09:19 - 09:22
But the thing that I feel like will knock me, you know,
09:22 - 09:25
boost me above the competition is that,
09:26 - 09:29
yes, you know, these programs are targeting, you know,
09:29 - 09:32
homelessness by getting them off the street, but that's all that they're doing.
09:32 - 09:34
It's not helping them and, you know,
09:34 - 09:39
getting back out into society and working my program, we offer jobs,
09:39 - 09:44
we offer opportunity, we offer opportunities for them to grow within the program.
09:44 - 09:46
And as they grow, it will help them to, you know,
09:46 - 09:48
be able to reach the stage of getting a job
09:48 - 09:51
and getting back on their feet and being independent.
09:51 - 09:52
I feel like these um
09:52 - 09:57
programs tend to only, you know, target, okay, let's get them off the street,
09:57 - 09:59
but how are we gonna keep them off the street.
09:59 - 10:03
And I feel like that is what my program targets keeping them off of
10:03 - 10:07
the street and keeping them in shelter locations and helping them to you know,
10:07 - 10:09
be successful and independent once again,
10:10 - 10:11
So the theory of change,
10:11 - 10:14
how will this program be effective by offering services that will help
10:14 - 10:19
in attaining independence and the ability to sustain their sales within society?
10:19 - 10:21
That's how this program will be effective.
10:21 - 10:26
Why it aids in targeting the root cause of homelessness, as I was saying,
10:26 - 10:28
and not just throwing money and resources at the problem.
10:28 - 10:32
You know, there are many who say, okay here, just build this foundation,
10:32 - 10:34
build this structure and, you know, get them off the street.
10:34 - 10:36
But my program, as I have stated before,
10:36 - 10:39
is actually targeting the root cause of holiness with
10:39 - 10:42
aren't productive, they have no way of receiving jobs,
10:42 - 10:44
they have no way of getting resources.
10:44 - 10:48
And so within my program and they are bettering themselves mentally,
10:48 - 10:50
they're bettering themselves physically,
10:50 - 10:52
and they're bettering bettering themselves, you know, emotionally,
10:52 - 10:54
emotionally and financially to be able to
10:54 - 10:58
help them gain sustainability within society.
10:58 - 11:02
And my program, as I have stated targets homeless households,
11:02 - 11:04
homeless individuals.
11:04 - 11:09
And so that concludes my presentation on my business Finding You Foundation
