  83. How do you think the lack of parental support,
  84. um, affects students achievement?
  85. I spoke to 11 teacher, uh, at a conference that I had last week and one parent,
  86. one teacher looked at me and said, um,
  87. students, if you have, If parents
  88. are lacking the support of the child,
  89. then students are gonna have a lot of emotional and intellectual, um,
  90. behaviour.
  91. They're gonna they're gonna be traumatised,
  92. they're going to come to school and they are gonna feel left out.
  93. And we as teachers, we have to try to bridge that gap.
  94. We have to try to bring in these parents, try to have a conversation,
  95. have a collaboration discussion with them so
  96. that they know that having parents support.
  97. It's very vital for students and development.
  98. Trying to bridge the gap between Covid trying
  99. to bridge the gap for students who performed below
  100. the grade level at this time is an issue
  101. that needs urgent attention due to the pandemic,
  102. many students
  103. due to the pandemic, many students
  104. and I'm gonna say many students have not reached their grade level the
  105. goal and as a result they tend to need a lot of help
  106. to understand activities. They do a lot of help
  107. because they did not have the support at that time.
  108. And most students students are behind in their academic,

  114. During the covid 19, many of these students education was virtual,
  115. and some students did not do well while on their own.
  116. It's the responsibility of students to log in and get their assignments done,
  117. but because they did not have the supervision,
  118. they were lacking
  119. trying to bridge the gap of cool, um, during the pandemic as well.
  120. These are some some pictures
  121. of of what happened

  125. We're gonna bring storm others to find some strategies that we can
  126. implement to to improve student achievement and another breakout group again,
  127. strategies
  128. that we can use to resolve these issues.
  129. One of the strategies is establishing a good relationship
  130. with parenthood that is a must as a key,
  131. providing parents with information on the events in school like meetings
  132. and awards day for students providing outreach programmes for parents,
  133. this can be programmes that have a one on one discussion with them.
  134. Communication is vital for any institution to be successful,
  135. create a father daughter dance night or a doughnut mom
  136. and do not our picture day with Mom and Dad.
  137. These things, these involvement with parents,
  138. do help to resolve some of these issues.
  139. To resolve issues successfully with parents or support,
  140. we have to build good parent teacher communication,
  141. have meetings or forum where we can explain parents explain to parents or effective
  142. their involvement is and engage and provide
