00:02 - 00:04
Hello my name is Katherine Zajac and today we'll
00:04 - 00:10
be presenting my life lab tiny habit video analysis.
00:13 - 00:17
So to start off with what my life lab tiny habit even was.
00:18 - 00:21
So my overall goal was to cook more.
00:21 - 00:26
However upon initial submission of my first life lab
00:26 - 00:32
um dr physic then advised me to have this goal include the five ps um preparation,
00:32 - 00:33
planning, everything like that.
00:33 - 00:38
Um Which overall helped align my goal to meet the smarter criteria.
00:38 - 00:42
I listed the smarter criteria right here.
00:42 - 00:46
Um So my life lab tiny habit behavior goal became
00:46 - 00:49
um to cook at least two meals a week
00:49 - 00:53
by receiving hello fresh grocery delivery services which will then
00:53 - 00:58
hold myself accountable with fresh produce and new recipes requiring
00:58 - 01:02
my chef inc talents to be undertaken every week.
01:02 - 01:06
This goal was specific measurable, action oriented,
01:06 - 01:10
realistic task focused and rewarding for myself.
01:10 - 01:15
Overall my tiny habits successfully helped me cook more frequently
01:15 - 01:19
save money and eat healthier um more delicious foods.
01:20 - 01:24
However this goal was too broad and failed to be time bound as
01:24 - 01:27
I didn't have a limit for how many weeks I was doing.
01:27 - 01:29
Um And I failed to have a progress
01:29 - 01:33
evaluation outside of my three life lab evaluations.
01:34 - 01:35
Um And I also failed to have a
01:35 - 01:39
reward for myself besides the delicious food obviously.
01:39 - 01:44
Um So my perceived benefits worth that I wanted to save some money.
01:44 - 01:47
I want to eat healthier, I want to spend
01:47 - 01:50
time on cooking to reduce my screen time
01:50 - 01:53
um And I want to reduce my overall stress
01:53 - 01:55
with this extra time that doctor visit gave us
01:56 - 02:01
um some supporting science that backs up my goal is Laperriere.
02:01 - 02:03
There's psycho neuro
02:03 - 02:04
immunology
02:05 - 02:08
and this is the connection between the immune system, brain and behavior.
02:08 - 02:11
So by eating healthier my immune system improved.
02:11 - 02:17
I was less sick this semester, which is a major improvement in my life. Um
02:17 - 02:21
And by having a better immune system I was less stressed.
02:23 - 02:23
All right.
02:24 - 02:25
And then to move on
02:38 - 02:43
next, I'm going to talk about motivation and the evolution of motivation over time.
02:43 - 02:51
So here you can see some of the trans theoretical model. So the
02:51 - 02:56
the first stage is that pre contemplation stage. The second is contemplation.
02:56 - 02:58
The third is preparation.
