00:01 - 00:02
Hi, my name is Ryan Michaels and this is my
00:03 - 00:06
presentation for the final video for Impossible Foods.
00:06 - 00:08
So a little bit more about the company and the
00:08 - 00:11
product that they sell, so, Impossible Foods is the brand
00:11 - 00:13
responsible for the Impossible burger.
00:14 - 00:18
Um It's essentially a burger that bleeds just like real
00:18 - 00:20
meat, but it is in fact a meat substitute.
00:20 - 00:23
So it's a ground beef substitute comes in, patty's comes
00:24 - 00:26
in just ground meat um packages.
00:27 - 00:29
And then also they just released sausage and they're continuing
00:29 - 00:32
on making meat substitutes for fish, pork.
00:32 - 00:34
All this is coming out in the near future.
00:34 - 00:37
Um and according to their website, we discovered what makes
00:38 - 00:39
meat tastes like meat.
00:39 - 00:41
Then we figured out how to make meat from plants
00:41 - 00:43
delicious and better for you in the planet.
00:43 - 00:46
Try our products Impossible burger and Impossible sausage made from
00:47 - 00:49
plants. So now that we have a little bit of
00:49 - 00:51
background about the product, we can talk about their conversion
00:52 - 00:54
point. So what is the conversion point?
00:55 - 00:58
Um The conversion point for this product is someone that
00:58 - 01:01
is buying the product from the grocery store because they
01:01 - 01:02
now sell in grocery stores.
01:03 - 01:05
Um So as you can see in that picture that's
01:05 - 01:07
one of the stands at the grocery store.
01:07 - 01:09
Um This is also someone that's going to be eating
01:09 - 01:12
the product at a restaurant, whether that's a fast food
01:12 - 01:13
restaurant or a high end restaurant.
01:14 - 01:17
Um This is their product is being sold everywhere.
01:17 - 01:19
So at Starbucks as you can see in the image
01:20 - 01:22
they're selling now a breakfast sandwich made with Impossible meat
01:23 - 01:26
and then also um the Impossible Whopper is being sold
01:26 - 01:27
at burger King.
01:27 - 01:32
And because this is a meat substitute, this is not
01:32 - 01:36
just a conversion of physical in a physical sense.
01:36 - 01:38
This is also a conversion um In a mental sense
01:39 - 01:41
because you are now you are now eating a meat
01:41 - 01:44
substitute where you may be really used to eating um
01:45 - 01:46
regular ground beef all the time.
01:46 - 01:49
So this is not just a conversion, physically buying the
01:49 - 01:52
product, this is a conversion of your mental state as
01:52 - 01:55
well to actually choose to eat something that is a
01:55 - 01:55
meat substitute.
01:58 - 02:01
Um And now we're going to go to the final
02:02 - 02:04
steps. So what are the steps to the Impossible Foods
02:05 - 02:10
funnel? So our first step in the final is awareness.
02:11 - 02:14
So what are they doing to create awareness for their
02:14 - 02:16
product? They're using major marketing campaigns.
02:16 - 02:18
As you can see here on the left, we have
02:18 - 02:21
Katy perry dressed as a burger and in her caption,
02:21 - 02:24
she actually tagged Impossible Foods as the location.
02:24 - 02:29
So there she is creating a huge marketing campaign and
02:29 - 02:29
awareness for this product.
02:31 - 02:33
Um And then also another awareness is that they're being
02:33 - 02:34
sold in grocery stores throughout the nation.
02:35 - 02:37
So people are seeing that in grocery stores that's coming
02:37 - 02:39
to their attention, obviously everyone goes to grocery stores, so
02:40 - 02:42
they're seeing these products and thinking about them.
02:43 - 02:46
Um And then again, like I mentioned before, they're sold
02:46 - 02:48
at high end restaurants as well as fast food chains.
02:49 - 02:52
Um and it's being really promoted at these restaurants, like
02:52 - 02:54
on the menus and then you're seeing everywhere.
02:55 - 02:58
So that's another way that they're creating awareness and then
02:58 - 03:01
for our next step, um we have the interesting consideration.
03:02 - 03:05
So what is creating interest for people that they're they're
03:05 - 03:07
going to want to be interested and they're they're thinking
03:08 - 03:12
more about the product and they're even considering possibly getting
03:12 - 03:14
to the conversion of where they're going to buy it.
03:14 - 03:18
So they're impossible who's creating really eye catching ads?
03:19 - 03:22
Um As you can see her to the left, They
03:22 - 03:25
have one uh try the impossible burger meat from plants.
03:26 - 03:29
Whoa! So it's very like simple yet really compelling.
03:30 - 03:32
Um And then again on the top, we have another
03:32 - 03:34
ad. It says this is what Impossible tastes like.
03:34 - 03:36
And it's kind of a funny ad.
03:36 - 03:38
It's where you're supposed to stick your tongue on the
03:38 - 03:39
paper and its like in a magazine.
03:40 - 03:43
Um And then also I have a screenshot here of
03:43 - 03:46
their instagram um to the right, and it just shows
03:46 - 03:49
how well everything blends together, how much it really does
03:50 - 03:52
look like me is also really compelling.
03:52 - 03:56
Um So this generates engagement from from users.
03:57 - 03:59
And they're going to be looking at these these images,
04:00 - 04:01
these ads and they're going to be thinking more about
04:01 - 04:05
it, which leads us to our next funnel step, which
04:05 - 04:06
is the evaluation and intent.
04:07 - 04:12
So this is where like Impossible Foods website, they're going
04:12 - 04:14
to be going to the website and they're going to
04:14 - 04:19
be seeing more um more compelling things on their website.
04:20 - 04:23
And then also like they're doing like offers and giveaways
04:24 - 04:26
on their social media, which is also a pretty big
04:27 - 04:29
thing for people that are going to want to buy
04:30 - 04:30
this product.
04:30 - 04:32
But I really like this ad that they used on
04:32 - 04:32
their website.
04:33 - 04:35
It's called Your Grill or Mine, and it says love
04:35 - 04:37
it or your money back, and it says we're asking
04:37 - 04:39
carnivores to grill up in a possible burger, and if
04:39 - 04:41
for some reason you're not loving it will give you
04:41 - 04:42
your money back seriously.
04:43 - 04:46
So that's a really big step towards getting someone to
04:46 - 04:46
buy this product.
04:47 - 04:49
It's creating a conversation.
04:49 - 04:51
Their main target audience is mediators.
04:52 - 04:55
It's not vegans is not vegetarians like myself, because we're
04:55 - 04:58
already there were already wanting to buy this product, but
04:58 - 05:00
it's the carnivores that they want to try the product
05:01 - 05:03
and see how they can convince them to eat meat
05:03 - 05:05
substitutes rather than regular means.
05:05 - 05:08
So this is the main funnel step that's going to
05:08 - 05:11
create the conversion, and this is where they're really, really
05:11 - 05:13
selling it, and I think they're doing a great job
05:13 - 05:14
at it as well.
05:15 - 05:18
And then obviously, like I talked about before, the next
05:18 - 05:18
step is conversion.
05:19 - 05:21
So this is where you're gonna be purchasing the impossible
05:22 - 05:24
me either online, at a local grocery store, a restaurant
05:24 - 05:27
or a fast food chain, um and then this is
05:27 - 05:29
a screen grab from their website and it's where you
05:29 - 05:32
can actually buy their product online, um and it gets
05:32 - 05:33
delivered right to your door.
05:34 - 05:36
So there's there's many ways to get this product, there's
05:36 - 05:40
many ways to enjoy this product, and according to a
05:40 - 05:41
lot of people, they're really loving it.
05:41 - 05:43
So they're obviously doing a really good job.
05:44 - 05:47
And then the next step in the funnel is loyalty.
05:47 - 05:50
So loyalty comes after obviously conversion.
05:51 - 05:52
This is where you're becoming a loyal customer.
05:52 - 05:55
You're constantly buying the product, you're constantly enjoying the product.
05:55 - 05:58
Um, and your maybe even switching to a plant based
05:59 - 06:01
diet full time because of how much you like this
06:01 - 06:03
product. So that would be considered a loyal customer.
06:04 - 06:06
And then also on the left here, I have a
06:06 - 06:09
screen grab from their website and this is just some
06:09 - 06:12
recipes there featuring, so they make it really, really accessible
06:13 - 06:17
to not only by their product, but also continue buying
06:17 - 06:19
their product to use for these really amazing recipes.
06:22 - 06:25
And then finally, we have the main part of the
06:25 - 06:28
funnel, or essentially the most important one is becoming an
06:28 - 06:29
advocate for the product.
06:30 - 06:32
So advocate advocate, oh my gosh, can't sit advocacy.
06:34 - 06:37
Um, would be posting impossible burgers, product recipes on social
06:38 - 06:40
media and then offering to cook for your family and
06:41 - 06:42
friends using impossible meat.
06:42 - 06:43
And that's my favorite choice.
06:43 - 06:46
Um, I love to cook for my friends and family
06:46 - 06:48
using impossible meat and really surprised them and how much
06:49 - 06:50
it actually tastes like meat.
06:50 - 06:52
And I have so many friends and family that are
06:53 - 06:56
like diehard meat eaters and I make them burgers, I
06:56 - 06:58
make them tacos and make them pasta with impossible me
06:58 - 06:59
and they cannot tell the difference.
07:00 - 07:02
And I've actually had some of my friends switch over
07:03 - 07:05
to becoming vegetarian just because of how good this product
07:05 - 07:07
is, which is a really big step in me and
07:08 - 07:08
being an advocate myself.
07:09 - 07:11
Um, so on the left here, you can see, um,
07:12 - 07:13
I took a screenshot of their instagram.
07:14 - 07:17
Um, they're tagged pictures, so this is just some of
07:17 - 07:20
the thousands of pictures that are being tagged um with
07:21 - 07:23
their obviously their instagram and it for people that are
07:23 - 07:29
just making eating their product and they're all advocates for
07:29 - 07:29
this product.
07:30 - 07:32
And then to the right of that, this is actually
07:32 - 07:34
a screenshot of my conversation with a family friend who
07:35 - 07:35
I cooked.
07:35 - 07:38
Um kim Kardashian's plant based talk a recipe.
07:39 - 07:41
She is beyond me, which is their main competitor, but
07:41 - 07:42
I like Impossible meat better.
07:43 - 07:44
So I use that instead.
07:45 - 07:46
And you can see, she said, thank you, pumpkin was
07:47 - 07:48
delicious and I said, I'm glad you liked it.
07:49 - 07:51
And she said a plus, so you can see that
07:51 - 07:52
and she's a meat eater herself.
07:53 - 07:55
So you can see that even meat eaters are really
07:55 - 07:56
loving this product.
07:58 - 08:01
And then finally, We have the success.
08:01 - 08:05
So impossible food seems to be very successful moving individuals
08:05 - 08:07
through the final and becoming not only converted in loyal
08:08 - 08:11
customers, but also advocates for their product, but there are
08:11 - 08:14
314,000 Instagram followers and being sold in countless stores and
08:14 - 08:15
restaurants throughout the nation.
08:15 - 08:17
And possible food seems to have it all figured out.
08:18 - 08:21
And while they do have obviously flaws, because not everyone's
08:21 - 08:24
going to want to try meat substitutes, um they're making
08:24 - 08:27
a huge statement in the world of becoming plant based.
08:28 - 08:30
And then I also included a little cow here who's
08:30 - 08:32
saying good for me too, because he is no longer
08:33 - 08:36
being eaten well by someone who's eating impossible meat for
08:36 - 08:37
at least.
08:38 - 08:42
Um and then I also have my sources here and
08:43 - 08:44
that is it.
08:44 - 08:46
Thank you so much for watching and I hope you
08:46 - 08:49
enjoyed Mhm Bye.
