Always. Well, as we continue with our summer Bible study,

we are now on our third session.

Uh, before moving on, would the sermon on the Mount

I decided to go over some basics off Christianity, Since

we have some new people joining us.

So far, we have highlighted the authority and necessity off

the Bible.

We said that the Bible is gots word.

It is the very breath of God.

And in it he has document everything we need regarding

what to believe and how to live.

A clear explanation is found on Second Timothy 3 14

to 16.

That door, or God gives wisdom unto salvation, which means

without being exposed to the word of God, we cannot

come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

We're also told that the word of God teaches us.

And how does it teach us?

Well, in it we discover who got is that He

is the creator and sustainer of the universe.

It tells us that he is holy, just righteous, merciful

and patient with us.

That he's our provider in our protector.

It tells us who we are.

We are creatures made in the image of God and

we were created to give him glory.

But because of sin, we don't do what we were

created to do.

So our current condition is dip rate and we are

destined for hell.

That's what the Bible teaches us.

But the word of God also tells us that God,

because of his great love, sent us a remedy for

that condition.

And the remedy is Jesus Christ himself.

And when we put our trust on Christ as Savior

and Lord, we are reconciled to the father, which is

only possible through the avenue off Jesus Christ.

The word of God also wants us off sin and

error. It corrects us and puts us on the right

path on the path off righteousness.

And it acquits us to live the kind of flights

that please God, that honor God that glorify God.

So in our previous lessons, we explained what sin is,

and we began examining its remedy.

We noted that we are living in a society in

which, since this practice as the norm, no one really

flinches when we see sinful images on TV or we

hear unwholesome things been spoken by our loved ones.

We excuse gossip and slander.

We even look the other way when we see mistreatment

of others.

We are basically programmed not to react to sin, since

it has become such a part of our culture.

When a society rejects the word of God, there is

So what is the remedy for skin?

There were many.

Person is the gospel.

The word gospel literally means good news, which was introduced

to us in the Garden of Eden.

That was the first gospel message, and that was introduced

to us by God himself.

The gospel is broadly speaking, the entirety of Scripture, because

the whole Bible talks about Jesus.

In fact, the Old Testament points to Jesus by showing

us shadows and symbols and types.

For instance, the sacrificial system twice to Jesus.

The Gospels.

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

They print present Jesus to us by re telling us

his story, the story of his birth off his life,

of his death, off its resurrection and off his ascension.

The Book of Packs and the Epistles proclaimed Jesus by

explaining to us all of his teachings and how we

are to live according to those principles.

And the book off revelation predicts Jesus Second coming.

So the Bible is all about Jesus.

In fact, he said, on Jump 5 39 Jesus himself

said that the Scriptures testified about him.

So nearly speaking, the gospel is the good news concerning

Christ and the way of salvation.

So the gospel reveals who Jesus is and what Jesus

did. And it contains the promise that he will say

anyone and everyone who turns from sin by trusting him

as Lord.

So we said, the gospel is good news.

As a matter of fact, it is the best news

ever. But why?

Why is it the best news ever to us?

The gospel is a specific message with a specific content

or information, and that information is all about Jesus as

we just noted, and it addresses a specific problem, a

specific content about a specific person that addresses a specific

problem. And that problem is sin.

As noted, Sin is disobedience to God's holy law, causing

us to be separated from him and deserving his wrath,

which will send us to help for eternity.

The gospel is good news because it addresses the most

serious problem that we as human beings have.

And that problem is that God is holy and God

is just and we are not.

But God requires for us to be holding as he's

holding. This presents a huge problem for us.

This is impossible without some kind of intervention.

This is what if it insists about humanity's current condition

So the gospel is good news because it takes care

of our problem.

The problem stint and then pulses on Romans 1 16

for I Am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it

is the power off God for salvation to everyone, everyone,

to everyone who believes the Jew first and also the

Greek. This is for everyone.

So the gospel is a bold message, and since we're

saved by it, we must not be ashamed to proclaim

it. It is impossible to keep goodness bottled up inside.

When we hear good news, we want to share the

good nose.

And what better news to share with other people, then

the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is a powerful message because it has got some

good news.

It is a saving message, the only thing that can

truly transform a human heart.

It is also a universal message for every nationality, and

the gospel is received by faith because salvation is the

gift of God.

are transformed by the gospel lift does.
