Direct Deposit Sign up

Here at UNI all students are highly encouraged

to sign up for direct deposit in their MyUNIverse

account. When a credit balance is generated on a student's

account due to a financial aid disbursement or any other type

of overpayment, a refund is initiated.

Direct deposit is the fastest and easiest way to receive

a refund.

Students who set up a direct deposit receive their refunds

within 1 to 3 business days after financial aid disbursements

or other overpayments.

If a student does not have direct deposit set up

a paper check is printed within one week and held

in the cashier's office and Gilchrist for two weeks to

allow for pickup.

If it's not picked up within that time, it is

mailed to the home address we have on file.

This means without direct deposit set up receiving a refund

may be significantly delayed to set up direct deposit.

You first need to go to your MyUNIverse account.

Enter your user name and password to log in and

then look for the direct deposit sign up box on

the my page tab.

Click the direct deposit sign up link. During your first

log in, you'll be prompted to enroll in duo, which

we use that UNI for multi factor authentication.

Next, you will need to enter your nine digit routing

number for your bank.

You also need to enter and confirm your bank account

number. Use the drop down box to select whether the

account is a checking or savings account.

Click continue on the next screen.

You'll have the chance to review your information before clicking.

Save direct deposit information.

Once your information has been successfully submitted, you will receive

a confirmation email in your UNI email account.

Your direct deposit information will be securely saved within My

UNIverse while you're enrolled at UNI.

If you would like to change your direct deposit account,

you can do so at any time by following these

same steps.
