  1. Alright, guys, I hope you're doing well.
  2. Um, about a good new year.
  3. And I know it's a bit frustrating to be kind
  4. of back and lock down.
  5. I'm trying to start work from home again Prezi and
  6. stuff like that.
  7. So we'll see how it goes.
  8. And if it doesn't really work out this week, what
  9. kind of change?
  10. A few plans up next kind a few weeks to
  11. see how it goes.
  12. And hopefully you've seen the slides that I posted up
  13. yesterday and to go through the kind of plants the
  14. next few weeks.
  15. If you haven't seen them, some of this video may
  16. not make sense.
  17. So it's best to go back and watch that and
  18. and go through the slides before you actually watch this
  19. video. And so for today, technically, our first actual lesson
  20. and we're gonna look at our mental block.
  21. All right, so we've moved on from our physical fitness,
  22. physical skill.
  23. We kind of still need to do any better on
  24. physical skill.
  25. And but what kind of revisit revise that all the
  26. time. And maybe we're back at school.
  27. So for now, we're gonna move on to a mental
  28. block so a mental factors We look at concentration, anxiety,
  29. level of Rosell on motivation and for me to kinda
  30. remember, these is I always think you come like my
  31. mental state if I'm come.
  32. So I need to make sure I'm concentrating.
  33. I need to make sure my anxiety is not too
  34. high, Not too low and level of arousal making sure
  35. in the kind of the right emotional state as well.
  36. And and that motivation All right.
  37. I don't want to be the movie.
  38. They want to push myself the work.
  39. So, looking at these factors, we want to try and
  40. collect data collection on these factors, just like we did
  41. in physical fitness and physical skill.
  42. So the types of data collection want to use or
  43. the Scott test and the pre PDP questionnaire.
  44. PDP just means personal development plans for your training program.
  45. So collection before you could start a training program and
  46. then obviously our performance fuel r p p w remember,
  47. that is what we would do in any factor.
  48. So when they come to emotional social, we'll revisit that
  49. as well.
  50. So these are the three data collection methods that are
  51. available for us this week.
  52. So the first one that scar stands for the sport
  53. competition Anxiety test.
  54. So Onley looks anxiety.
  55. We're only focused on that area.
  56. So our data collection itself, you'll see this on Google
  57. Classroom, okay?
  58. And so I just cannot.
  59. Can I get a screenshot?
  60. Great. May be hard to see on the video because
  61. you've got the full document Google Caution.
  62. We've got that, but it's pretty straightforward.
  63. Put your name on Put a day.
  64. You complete er, and in order to do is read
  65. each statement.
  66. Okay, so each question you would read it.
  67. An answer, really?
  68. Sometimes or often Eso like, for example, competing against others
  69. s socially enjoyable.
  70. You would answer that question.
  71. Okay, Really?
  72. Sometimes or often.
  73. And once you felt out, why do, for each kind
  74. of question I would just put across or an X
  75. or a tech whatever you wanna do.
  76. But as long as you mark in each kind of
  77. idea, you could only answer really, sometimes or often.
  78. So, for example, and complete all all questions.
  79. And then once you've got your questions, each question has
  80. a scoring system.
  81. So you have to work with that system, okay?
  82. So obviously, question one some questions you get 000 All
  83. right, so that your scored a zero.
  84. But you can see from question to really gets a
  85. score. One sometimes gets a score too often gets a
  86. score 30.
  87. All right, But you just got to be careful because
  88. you got to go through each question and make sure
  89. you score that accurately.
  90. Once you've done all that, you get to count up
  91. your scores and you can see from here.
  92. I would put my whole school in ang from me.
  93. I complete the scar test and I got a school
  94. off, and it was 19 was 19 or 20.
  95. And so that was in there.
  96. Which means I have a high.
  97. Well, I have an average level of anxiety, and I'm
  98. before completing about competition.
  99. If it's any higher than 24 then you've got a
  100. high level anxiety.
  101. Okay, so you can kind of test that out fast.
  102. Kind of important.
  103. So once you've got your test results done, make sure
  104. you have you can all your results at the bottom
  105. and then compare it the very bottom again.
  106. All this is on the Google classroom cheap, so I'll
  107. put it up on Google Classroom so you can see
  108. that. So that is one data collection method.
  109. Next one.
  110. This is one of definitely not done.
  111. You may have done this.
  112. Scott in a national five.
  113. This is what it's definitely not done.
  114. So you're pre PDP question there.
  115. It's just a question that you would complete before you
  116. start the training program.
  117. So Sinai indication off kind of walk factors you might
  118. need to look at as well, because normally when you
  119. start training program, you look at your physical factors first,
  120. which we've done, and then you want to make sure
  121. there's any other strengths or weaknesses you need to know
  122. about. So your question here, but I've got for you.
  123. It looks at motivation, and it looks at level of
  124. rose. Oh, okay, so that's quite important for you to
  125. actually train.
  126. So if you're not motivated and you're not going to
  127. train as hard as you can, so there's a couple
  128. things we need to look at as well.
  129. It also does look at emotional control, but that's not
  130. our focus, So this question there looks at mental and
  131. emotional factors, but at the moment, we're just focusing on
  132. the mental because that's a bigger area.
  133. So we go in to look at our question here.
  134. You can see it.
  135. It's kind of set up in the same way as
  136. a scalp.
  137. However, you've got different types of questions than the left
  138. hand side, and you've got a bigger a range of
  139. answers. Okay, so it's like and almost always, often sometimes.
  140. And I have very, very little, and then almost never.
  141. And then you would have a score.
  142. Okay, so that's something to think about.
  143. And when you move forward, you've got to make sure
  144. you put this accurately do it on your own.
  145. You got no destruction is completely the same thing, just
  146. as you would discard test.
  147. And then you've got a different range off how you
  148. score this.
  149. Okay, so for each question, the different score.
  150. So you can either pretty here or you can put
  151. it on the previous page wherever you prefer, because you
  152. can see I've left out column for the screwed on
  153. the right hand site.
  154. So whatever you find easiest, I've given you this template
  155. so you can see the scoring system and you can
  156. see in brackets.
  157. If it's an emotional question, it's Kobe.
  158. He efforts for on arousal question, which is the same
  159. as mental s.
  160. So we a efforts for motivation, which again is mental.
  161. It's got on em so you can figure out the
  162. score for each area.
  163. Okay, so the question here looks a toothy areas, emotional
  164. arousal of motivation.
  165. But for us, we're focused more on the mental factors.
  166. All right, so we can see that throat 15 questions.
  167. There's a different arrange, but majority of them are either
  168. arose or mental, so we can kind of calculate the
  169. factors and how they impact of performance based on the
  170. questions. Once you got the scoring system done, you'll see
  171. that you need to go through and you're putting the
  172. highest score.
  173. So if you count up all the mental scores, where
  174. did you get for a Rosa?
  175. If you count up, all the men are ones for
  176. motivation? Or did you get?
  177. If you count up all the emotional ones for the
  178. emotional control, what would you get?
  179. And then, from there you can highlight or start, I
  180. would start it.
  181. No, circle it and because it's online I would circle
  182. if it was doing a written copy, I would started
  183. to see which one of the highest.
  184. So at the moment we're hoping toe Look for levels
  185. of arousal, levels of motivation to we're going to focus
  186. on. If emotional control is your highest, that's your result.
  187. That's fine.
  188. It just shows that your level of arousal level more
  189. vision is you.
  190. But look all right.
  191. That's one thing.
  192. When you think about and once you've done that, this
  193. is your actual results.
  194. And but there's one thing that we need to do
  195. is well in particular.
  196. The pre PDP questionnaire looks at both mental and emotional
  197. factors, like I said, and you can see that from
  198. the types of questions and the type of results you
  199. get. So we need to make sure we evaluate this
  200. result so you can actually see what factors impact us
  201. more. So let me do that.
  202. There's an extra sheep still evaluation of results.
  203. We need to make sure you can see if you
  204. get scored below 0 to 10.
  205. It gives you an indication of the description, gives you
  206. a score between 10 and 20.
  207. It gives you a description again.
  208. It was a score between 20 and 25 for each
  209. one. So for each area and emotion level of Rosell
  210. motivation, you can work out what that means.
  211. And then there's a little bit of box to kind
  212. of put your own evaluation a little bit.
  213. Spin on it, all right, and you may think, why
  214. I don't have to do this for the scar test.
  215. This scar test on Lee looks anxiety on.
  216. Lee looks at one area, so it's Prezi simple.
  217. Wherever you get your result, either have low anxiety, high
  218. anxiety or you're in the middle.
  219. Sort it for this one.
  220. The questionnaire.
  221. There's three areas and again used to go through that,
  222. highlight that area and then evaluated yourself.
  223. Okay, so that's how we but we Dittemore Information is
  224. taken a step further than the sky anxiety test.
  225. You've got to connect.
  226. Appreciate you before that to make sure you understand exactly
  227. what the results off the final one.
  228. It's just our performance view now.
  229. We've done a performance you before, so it's pretty simple.
  230. You would look at normally all four factors physical, emotional,
  231. mental and social, and then in the physical one, we
  232. focused more on physical fitness or physical skill.
  233. When you complete the performance fuel, you just need to
  234. make sure that you have ah more focused on the
  235. mental factors.
  236. So again, you could look at all four factors if
  237. you wanted to, or you could maybe just focus on
  238. concentration and motivation.
  239. Anxiety. Leave out level of Roseau and you can go
  240. from there.
  241. But that's the four factors we're looking at.
  242. That's the only four factors you wanna talk about.
  243. If you don't know what some of these factors mean,
  244. especially level of so then you can give me an
  245. email, and I could go through that with you.
  246. But it's best Prezi a self explanatory.
  247. Once you've done that, that's pretty simple.
  248. You've got your CD collection methods.
  249. So after going through these data collection methods, your task
  250. is to complete at least one theory collection method.
  251. That's like the minimum task.
  252. What you think, what I want you to achieve and
  253. like, you may have a very busy week.
  254. You might be looking after like a brother sister.
  255. You might be trying to still do some workers.
  256. Well, that's fine.
  257. Minimum one.
  258. The equation complete.
  259. However, if you want to try and reach an A
  260. or A B, the higher P you should be complete
  261. into the collection methods.
  262. So when I think of that, if that's what you
  263. want to do, you should be completing two data collection
  264. methods. Now we've already done the performance view, so if
  265. you want to do that, that's great.
  266. But you've already done it.
  267. You already know what it is.
  268. It's pretty simple.
  269. It's pretty, pretty self explanatory and plus is, well, the
  270. one issue of God with the performance view on Google.
  271. Caution. You have to kind of editor on your doctor's
  272. quite tricky.
  273. The other two.
  274. The scar on the performance, the pre DPP and couldn't
  275. get the words out there.
  276. The pre PDP questionnaire and they're all simple questions, and
  277. they're easy to do online, and they're easy to submit.
  278. So if it was me and I want DNA, I
  279. would do the scar anxiety test.
  280. Don't complete that.
  281. Then I would do the pre PDP questionnaire.
  282. If you get stuck on some of the weight of
  283. carry out or the way to evaluate it, then that's
  284. the kind of part the higher student is actually email
  285. me and making sure.
  286. And like I said on the Google slides from yesterday,
  287. I'm gonna try and organize like a Google me drop
  288. in session if you want to come in and talk
  289. about them.
  290. But if you're struggling with some of the work, you
  291. can organize like I want one to go meet and
  292. you can organize like a small group.
  293. If it was a couple of years, like a few
  294. of your friends and cost, want to do that?
  295. And you can organize that with me as well and
  296. kind of like a small group, like four or five
  297. of Yet that's fine.
  298. I'm more than happy to help as much as I
  299. can. The biggest part is about communicating if you know
  300. what you're doing, any Semitic, perfect if you are you.
  301. But I'm sure it just means the fact that we
  302. need to go about a different way.
  303. And like I said, we're working at home.
  304. It's another lock down, but no in class, you might
  305. not understand it, or I mean, it's not be that
  306. great talking about it through online, so there's a few
  307. things you need to think about the biggest part is
  308. communicating that you need about help and then seeking out
  309. either an email on Google chart and we can come
  310. toe in agreement of how we can work that out.
  311. And so that is a task for this week you'll
  312. see on Google Classroom that I've submitted, UM, an assignment
  313. That's true for Friday.
  314. So the data collection methods need to be completed by
  315. Friday. So if you complete one, you complete that you
  316. submit that for Friday.
  317. And if, like I said before, if you think you're
  318. on A or B candidate and you should be completing
  319. two, and I would suggest going for the Scott on
  320. the pre PDP question here, that's what I would do.
  321. And so they're all available.
  322. The reason is for Friday is because tomorrow I'm gonna
  323. send another lesson and will be shorter, and that's gonna
  324. give you are your written task of written challenge, which
  325. is more for the exam.
  326. So it'll be like a described question or unexplained question.
  327. And again, that's from Google flights.
  328. That will be for you to complete the rest of
  329. the week over the weekend and then submit that on
  330. Monday like I said.
  331. So I've given Monday the time to complete any workout.
  332. So it's standard.
  333. All right, that is the work.
  334. If there's any questions, just give me an email for
  335. you. But I'm sure.
  336. And f no.
  337. Good luck.
  338. See how this week goes and we'll see how it
  339. goes from there.
  340. All right.
  341. See you guys.
