  1. Good afternoon.
  2. My name is Hannah clawson and I am the executive of marketing for Daisy's diner.
  3. I am here today to present my approach of an increased online marketing strategy In
  4. order to combat the issue of slow rebound of customers in store post pandemic.
  5. I will begin with our present situation
  6. Here.
  7. I have compiled a graph containing daisies, diners customer in store engagement
  8. through the course of 2019-2022.
  9. Since our opening in 2016,
  10. our customer numbers have been steadily increasing with each year of business,
  11. with 2019 being one of our most successful years.
  12. As you can see, Grafton read here
  13. The beginning of 2020 started off as usual.
  14. However, as you can see with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  15. Beginning mid March,
  16. the extremely sharp downfall of business is extremely evident
  17. As the pandemic continued into 2021.
  18. When Outdoor Diamond ng became available.
  19. Once again, our customers did seem eager to return.
  20. However, in the winter months we did see numbers drop
  21. Beginning in 2022 as vaccine numbers started
  22. to increase and vaccine passport became available.
  23. Our customers did venture into indoor dining once again
  24. and in april of this year,
  25. once restrictions were lifted, we did see a promising increase in customers.
  26. However, we are not yet fully at our pre pandemic operations yet.
  27. Currently Daisy's diners online presence consists only
  28. of our website constructed in 2016.
  29. This website includes four pages,
  30. homepage
  31. and about us page with the story of our diner and photos
  32. an order page with a detailed menu and photos of our food and beverage favorites
  33. as well as a contact page with our phone, email and store address.
  34. This website is easily found through a google search or for
  35. a more general search such as coffee shops in my area.
  36. Effective communication with our customers will allow them to feel
  37. like they know what to expect when entering our diner.
  38. Giving them the confidence to return to dine in
  39. online communication requires identifiable online brand image,
  40. effective communication of information
  41. and interesting content.
  42. We will be using three media platforms to communicate with our customers.
  43. Our first platform of communication will be our
  44. website which has gotten a full makeover.
  45. Our website now includes an aesthetic change.
  46. A welcome back message with a link to our COVID-19 precautions
  47. and a closing page on our website that includes our phone number,
  48. email address,
  49. physical location as well as a link to sign up for our newsletter.
  50. Our second platform will be social media
  51. and will include instagram, facebook and twitter accounts.
  52. Individual platforms will have customized posts
  53. and depending on the amount of information we want conveyed,
  54. will dictate the number of posts made
  55. the consistent branding throughout all three accounts will make
  56. it easier for customers to identify our diner.
  57. Lastly,
  58. we'll we will be constructing a system to be able
  59. to bring our customers a promotional newsletter via email.
  60. The incentive to to subscribe to our newsletter will be a coupon
  61. for a free specialty drink or a sandwich of the customer's choice
  62. to be redeemed with their next order.
  63. This will be the first email they received from the program.
  64. Once a customer has signed up for this newsletter program,
  65. we will be able to communicate new events,
  66. promotions and activities happening in store
  67. in order to maximize the effectiveness of these new online marketing strategies.
  68. Correlation between all of them will be key.
  69. Our website as a part of the closing page will include
  70. both a submission box for customers to subscribe to our newsletter
  71. as well as links to our three social media accounts.
  72. Our newsletter will include in the first coupon email links
  73. to our website as well as in future newsletters.
  74. Be able to advertise our social media accounts and make them known to customers.
  75. Our social media accounts all include our website in the bio
  76. of their page and we will be able to promote our newsletter
  77. and communicate our coupon incentive
  78. through posts and stories via the accounts.
  79. I recommend we start this online marketing implementation process
  80. by constructing an identifiable online brand
  81. image that customers will recognize us as
  82. beginning with welcome back content across all platforms.
  83. Will encourage customers to return to our store
  84. Through a transitional phase. We will be able to gradually fade out.
  85. COVID-19 content as it becomes less relevant
  86. to become more focused on our business.
  87. With the transitional phase complete,
  88. we will be able to unlock what online marketing can truly bring to our business,
  89. which is effective communication to our customers.
  90. In the future,
  91. our website and social media platforms can be used to promote any events,
  92. promotions or activities that we choose.
  93. Our newsletter can potentially be a great bridge for our businesses
  94. into
  95. an email identified reward system for our customers.
