00:01 - 00:03
Hello, my name is Nadia.
00:03 - 00:04
In this video,
00:04 - 00:09
I will be giving you a better idea of what the victim mindset is and how you
00:09 - 00:12
can overcome it along with some examples leading on
00:12 - 00:14
to how to have the mindset of Survivor.
00:17 - 00:18
First off,
00:18 - 00:22
let's start with the definition of the victim mindset to get you familiar with it,
00:23 - 00:27
On this line that I have provided the description states that
00:27 - 00:30
when someone feels that bad things keep happening to them,
00:30 - 00:33
no matter what at the root of this mentality is that
00:34 - 00:37
none of these circumstances or situations are their fault.
00:38 - 00:41
This slide is basically saying that the victim mindset
00:41 - 00:44
is when someone feels targeted to negative things,
00:44 - 00:46
no matter the circumstances.
00:46 - 00:51
It's almost as if they believe that they are the main target in every bad situation.
00:53 - 00:55
Now that we're done with the description.
00:55 - 00:59
If you need another better descriptions, like little ones,
00:59 - 01:02
here are some examples of the victim mindset.
01:03 - 01:07
Number one, being, they will constantly put themselves down.
01:08 - 01:11
like calling themselves unattractive or seeking attention
01:11 - 01:15
most of the time they will get a little upset. So it's not advised.
01:16 - 01:17
Number two,
01:17 - 01:21
they blame people for their own unhappiness which they cause themselves.
01:22 - 01:26
And number three, they will constantly find something to complain about,
01:26 - 01:29
like not having as much aspired money
01:29 - 01:32
and will continuously not do anything to change that situation.
01:34 - 01:39
Most of the time people who have the victim mindset will even have this philosophy
01:39 - 01:41
that everyone is against them no matter the
01:41 - 01:44
circumstances and that they can't relate to anybody
01:44 - 01:47
which makes people start feeling bad for them.
01:48 - 01:52
Now that you are hopefully more familiar with the victim mindset.
01:52 - 01:56
Let's talk about getting into the survivor mindset as it is ideal too.
01:58 - 02:02
Achieving the mindset of a survivor can be as simple as can be.
02:03 - 02:06
There are some steps you can take to achieve this.
02:07 - 02:09
Number one being, taking responsibility,
02:10 - 02:13
this can include taking responsibility for the little things
02:13 - 02:15
like breaking a glass or lying to someone.
02:17 - 02:22
Number two, being practice self-awareness. And number three,
02:23 - 02:24
Being resilient.
02:25 - 02:28
Last of all, believe in yourself.
02:28 - 02:33
This is one of the key factors you need in order to achieve the survivor mindset
02:33 - 02:35
as it revolves around you,
02:35 - 02:39
having the self confidence to do positive things for yourself.
02:40 - 02:41
And that concludes it.
02:42 - 02:46
I hope you have more of an understanding of the victim mindset and how to overcome it.
02:47 - 02:48
Thank you for listening.
02:49 - 02:51
If you have any more questions,
02:51 - 02:56
