  1. My name is J.
  2. D. Goodson, and this is my proof of learning marketing
  3. project. So my project is the porter balance.
  4. It is a speaker that could be used as a
  5. charger and a coaster.
  6. At the same time, the porter balances a speaker that
  7. uses a heat engine to charge your phone.
  8. You can place a hot or cold beverage on the
  9. surface of the speaker and let the drink charge your
  10. phone. The colder or hotter the drink, the faster your
  11. phone charges.
  12. This allows the customer to blast their favorite song with
  13. the hot or cold drink and charge their phone all
  14. at once.
  15. Who am I reaching?
  16. My primary target market is males and females ages 15
  17. to 35.
  18. The consumers in this market consists of travelers, people who
  19. are musically inclined and those who are familiar with technology.
  20. My secondary target market is also males and females, but
  21. ages 35 through 50.
  22. These consumers tend to travel occasionally, don't listen to much
  23. music, and they aren't is technologically savvy.
  24. Um, both the primary and secondary markets contain consumers who
  25. drink hot and cold beverages on a daily basis.
  26. The competition there is um, the one puck hot cold
  27. wireless charger that converts the heat or coolness of your
  28. drink into power for your phone.
  29. The regular place of this product is $115.
  30. The Beats pill is a portable speaker that's priced at
  31. about $179.
  32. The U E Wonder Boom is a waterproof portable speaker
  33. that's priced about $100.
  34. Um, the J B L Speaker is another portable speaker
  35. that is priced at about $300.
  36. In the anchor power core is a portable charger or
  37. a power bank.
  38. Priced at about $70.
  39. My product combines elements of each of these into one
  40. waterproof energy from the warmth of a coaster and the
  41. speaker. These are the visual features, so the speaker includes
  42. the coaster piece or the heat sensor um, USB ports
  43. for the devices being charged and the charge report for
  44. the speaker for what it needs to be recharged.
  45. The Black represents the actual speaking component that produces the
  46. music. How will I reach customers?
  47. I noticed that most teachers or professors, people who work
  48. in schools or work long hours, tend to drink coffee
  49. in the morning or throughout the day, so there would
  50. be a great group to promote this product to as
  51. a form promotion.
  52. I would like to go to different schools or universities
  53. and provide the teachers or professors with breakfast or coffees
  54. or teas in the morning.
  55. We can also go through schools and deliver the beverage
  56. of the teacher's choice to them.
  57. I also want to set up a website for the
  58. product, and every month we do a raffle and give
  59. away three free speakers.
  60. So where can it be sold?
  61. The porter balance will be sold on the company website
  62. so it could be directly available to customers.
  63. It will also be sold in stores like Best Buy,
  64. Walmart Khan's Home Plus in Amazon, and it will be
  65. a price.
  66. The price range would be anyway, from $80 to $100
  67. depending on the size, the model and the color of
  68. the speaker.
  69. And lastly, my brand promise my brand promises to make
  70. life easier with one beverage at a time.
  71. My tagline is Porter Balance Seymour, do more.
  72. Um, I would like to co brand with Starbucks and
  73. create ways for the porter balance to be sold in
  74. their stores all over the world.
  75. And in the future, I want to be able to
  76. make different products that are similar to the porter balance
  77. and can make life easier for everybody.
  78. Thank you.
