  2. Um, I am trying this for what feels like the

  4. And I hope you can see my poster behind me
  5. because I want to welcome you to my virtual classroom.
  6. And it says two things on it.

  15. victory. I hope that remains to be seen once I
  16. get this video out to you guys, Um, this is
  17. all new to me and new to you guys.
  18. So I appreciate patients and just know that if something
  19. doesn't work the way that it is intended, Thio, I
  20. will try again once, twice, 10 20 times, just like
  21. I have today.

  23. The purpose of this video, The purpose of this video
  24. is to first welcome you to my virtual classroom.
  25. And the second purpose is for me to verbally tell
  26. you a schedule is for next week.
  27. Ah, a few things that are very important for you
  28. to know.
  29. I will highlight in just a minute.
  30. So basically, starting Monday, we will have virtual school.
  31. And what that means is I will post a lesson
  32. for you on Google Classroom and you will be tasked
  33. with completing it.
  34. However, it is not just going to be where I
  35. post lessons.
  36. You complete them and we don't meet face to face.
  37. So let me go ahead with my schedule.
  38. So from 8 to 9 every day, I will be
  39. responding to emails meeting with administration, um message responding to
  40. messages and basically just getting ready for the school day
  41. from 9 to 10 a.m. Every day I will be
  42. preparing lessons, posting lessons, responding to E.
  43. L. A.
  44. Questions um, that you guys have.
  45. Here's where the live part comes in from 10 a.m.
  46. to 11 a.m. Each day we will have what is
  47. called a zoom virtual class.
  48. What that means is that you guys will have the
  49. opportunity to speak to me live virtually.
  50. Um I will send you an email with a link.
  51. And from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. We will have
  52. yell a class.
  53. Now if you cannot tune in from those hours, that
  54. is okay.
  55. Um no big deal.
  56. But just know that I am available Live At that
  57. time, we will talk about our readings, will talk about
  58. our standards, will talk about the lessons.
  59. And I will be able to answer any questions you
  60. have from 11 toe one.
  61. I will be prepping for social studies, getting lessons together,
  62. making sure that everything is prepared for social studies from
  63. 1 to 2 every day, 1 to 2 p.m. I
  64. will do the same thing for social studies.
  65. I will send you guys a link for a zoom
  66. virtual classroom.
  67. And we will be able to discuss the social studies
  68. content during this hour long virtual class again.
  69. If you can't make it from that time, it is
  70. okay. Just be in contact with me.
  71. Um, from 2 to 3 p.m. Each day, I will
  72. have what I call just a general zoom session.
  73. So from 2 to 3 each day, you can follow
  74. the link that I will send to you and we
  75. will have a zoom session where we we will talk
  76. about l A social studies whatever needs to be discussed
  77. during this time.
  78. From 3 to 4 30 I will be prepping and
  79. responding to emails, messages making phone calls where needed If
  80. I have not heard from you.
  81. Um but I will still be available to you via
  82. email. So again, I have posted the schedule on Google
  83. classroom already I have attempted to post a video, but
  84. it did not work repeatedly.
  85. So hopefully this time it will work and I will
  86. be able to post this video.
  87. I will also be e mailing it to you so
  88. that you will have it to refer back to it.
  89. So again, a few things I want to stress to
  90. you. Number one I hope that you guys stay healthy
  91. and safe while we were out of school Number two
  92. please do not get frustrated.
  93. Please do not panic.
  94. Please do not worry about anything.
  95. If you need help, please reach out to me so
  96. that I can help you in any way that I
  97. can please be patient with me.
  98. This technology thing you guys know I struggle with even
  99. in class.
  100. So I really appreciate your patience and your understanding as
  101. I do my best to navigate through this new virtual
  102. world. Um, for this week, um, today Thursday in Friday,
  103. I would like for you to complete your lexie a
  104. minute. Some of you already have.
  105. And that is wonderful.
  106. And some of you have not.
  107. So you still have three days to complete your Lexie
  108. minutes. Do not want us to stop Alexia.
  109. I think we've made a lot of progress and I
  110. wanted to continue.

  112. on Monday.
