  1. Hi, I'm Danielle, and I've just finished my final year
  2. at South and High.
  3. I've loved every second of my school experience, and I'm
  4. very sad to be leaving.
  5. I remember being in your position or those years ago
  6. trying to pick a secondary school.
  7. I myself was from a very small primary school with
  8. only 30 people per year on the sheer size of
  9. South and was incredibly daunting.
  10. However, it's family ethos and caring nature entice meters are
  11. thinned. And looking back, I'm so glad I chose this
  12. school. Over the years I have been stretched academically in
  13. order for me to reach my full potential.
  14. The teachers of South and have pushed May at every
  15. stage supported me at every hurdle and giving me the
  16. confidence to excel at anything that I put my mind
  17. to. I've never felt overwhelmed by the work set, as
  18. has always been tons of support provided, whether that be
  19. open houses or student mental ring or 1 to 1
  20. teaching contact time In September, I'm starting an apprenticeship at
  21. Morgan Stanley Investment Bank, and without the support and guidance
  22. or the start here, this would have never have been
  23. possible. The school has also provided me with the most
  24. outstanding opportunities I've been to many countries been apart.
  25. School Musical, the Student Leadership team off 2018 to 2019
  26. and much more.
  27. Last September, South and High was chosen to represent England
  28. at the International Sports Conference, and I had the honor
  29. of going to Paris and meeting some of the most
  30. incredible sports women, including Paula Radcliffe.
  31. On return, the school allowed me to run a color
  32. run for the year seven students, which enabled them to
  33. make friends settle in and create some outstanding memories.
  34. Throughout my time, this school has always had my best
  35. interests at heart.
  36. And I know when I leave this September, I will
  37. forever remain part of an incredibly special and unique community.
  38. I've been a part s HST for the past seven
  39. years. On next year, I'm going to university to study
  40. medicine unopened.
  41. Starting this event university seems like a very distant concept,
  42. but shh do is help me to achieve my dream
  43. of becoming a doctor.
  44. Ever since I first stepped foot in the school, the
  45. plethora of clubs both during and after school ignited my
  46. interests and help me find the subject I was truly
  47. passionate about.
  48. This left may competing in science fairs with my friends,
  49. immersing myself in the curriculum during lessons and eventually running
  50. and leading support groups to help give back to a
  51. system that really benefited May on.
  52. More recently, I've written a research project about something that
  53. I'm really passionate about, and this is something that has
  54. helped me develop many skills within myself as a person,
  55. but also prepares me considerably for the next chapter of
  56. my life.
  57. In September, during my time at school, I've been so
  58. fortunate to have an extensive amount of opportunities, both within
  59. and outside the curriculum.
  60. These include a self funded four week trip to Swaziland,
  61. Mozambique, in which he built a care point for the
  62. community, touring with the netball team to motor Marbella and
  63. Gibraltar on also participating and running in many clubs during
  64. and after school.
  65. However, what I think makes South in high school for
  66. girls really special is the massive support system from the
  67. students and staff alike.
  68. I've not only been challenged academically, also encouraged and supported
  69. through my personal pursuits.
  70. Whilst completing Maggie sissies, I represented the country becoming a
  71. world tap champion in tap dance.
  72. The school helped me develop the skills I needed to
  73. keep on top of my studies as well as having
  74. this experience.
  75. But this also speaks volumes of the teachers at school.
  76. Every teacher willingly gave up their time to send me
  77. work, help me understand new concepts and mark any work
  78. I said them.
  79. In addition to this, the emotional support of the school
  80. is second to none.
  81. Since the first week, our form tutors have been checking
  82. in on us, making sure we are well, both physically
  83. and emotionally.
  84. I can honestly tell you that I don't think I'd
  85. be the person I am today.
  86. Without the support from the school on the care from
  87. the school community, I wouldn't have all these experiences that
  88. will undoubtedly live with May forever.
