  1. Hi, I'm shopping.
  2. I'm Reese and I'm Saturdays and say we're gonna be
  3. talking about the battles of Lexington and concord were fought
  4. on april 1917 75.
  5. So the battles of Lexington and concord actually kicked off
  6. the american revolutionary war.
  7. And we're gonna be talking about what went down and
  8. stuff. But first let's ask some questions about what they
  9. thought about what Sarah Henry thought about it.
  10. So Sarah, what did you think about the battle?
  11. Uh It was vicious and I'm I'm glad it's over
  12. right now.
  13. Stay with me, Okay.
  14. Yeah, it's like This isn't the 17th in uh 1775,
  15. it's 2021.
  16. So uh so the winner of the battle, we'll talk
  17. about that later.
  18. So let's start off with what happened before.
  19. And then I of April 18, 1775, hundreds of British
  20. troops came from the about somewhere over here of Lexington
  21. and Concord.
  22. So paul revere was ready for this?
  23. He was weighted by the church and the church had
  24. to life.
  25. It's pretty cool and those lamps were pretty cool.
  26. It wondered up that means better than were coming by
  27. land to growing up.
  28. They were coming by sea that night, one went up.
  29. So paul revere started going say the british were coming,
  30. the british are coming.
  31. The british were coming and then that warned all of
  32. them that the british were coming and to go home
  33. fight in the war.
  34. So after that um it was, they all slept but
  35. like it was kind of hard to but the next
  36. day he met up with some other people and they
  37. all moved the weapons from one spot to another.
  38. Yeah. So what do you all think of what would
  39. happen and so far?
  40. 2010. Yes it was it was very intense.
  41. I didn't really see much.
  42. I am yeah and this was I start at the
  43. American Revolutionary War but like tension has been building was
  44. building for years and years and years before that and
  45. then they finally just decided to come and fight.
  46. So that was the battle of Lexington and concord and
  47. with that um after this war over lasted a couple
  48. of days thankfully.
  49. Um Surprisingly with us being outnumbered, we actually won and
  50. there were so many more battles after that that followed
  51. in 1783 the colonists finally won their independence.
  52. But after that it was a mess.
  53. So that's basically what happened with Lexington and concord.
  54. What do you all think?
  55. I'm glad that I have the air independence.
  56. That wouldn't be good if we were still under british
  57. control. And during that the attention that was yeah the
  58. tension that was building up before was actually from the
  59. king taxing them.
  60. Like that was when the boston tea party happened, the
  61. boston massacre.
  62. That was all before this um it was all because
  63. of the king tax and that's the only reason this
  64. happened because they were going on strike and not buy
  65. british goods.
  66. All right, so that's about what that's a little bit
  67. of what before happened before.
  68. The battle looked into the concorde during and before, and
  69. then we'll talk to you a little bit about after.
  70. So come back for it.
  71. You have to you're gonna have to look for another
  72. news report for some more battles by
