  1. Welcome back, everybody.
  2. And in this video instruction set up, we're going to
  3. talk a little bit about the kitchen Fundamental choice board
  4. instruction so that you have a pretty clear view about
  5. what you need to complete why and when.
  6. So the first thing that I should bring up to
  7. you is that you should be first working to complete
  8. the stuff in that first column on the left hand
  9. side of the choice board, the one that says lab
  10. training. So you have to complete that first instruction video
  11. first to be eligible just for the labs in general.
  12. And then, as before, you actually do each of the
  13. additional labs.
  14. You have to complete that lab training in addition to
  15. it. So, for example, in order to do the Plato
  16. lab as you're ready, you gotta wash their both of
  17. those videos and walk yourself through the demo.
  18. When you go to your cookies or your pop tarts,
  19. you have thio.
  20. You'll have to go back after you finish those labs
  21. and make some time to do that one.
  22. And I say, make some time.
  23. You'll have plenty of time because none of the other
  24. activities on the right are going to be required for
  25. grading but will provide opportunities to help and continue to
  26. grow you as a chef.
  27. So those aren't just dead assignments to the right.
  28. But I'm not going to require certain amount of them
  29. to be completed this week solely because if you were
  30. actively completing the lab training and the lab simultaneously as
  31. we go through the group week, you won't have much
  32. time as downtime to do those things.
  33. Um, but they're there if you need them, so that
  34. you can pick and choose what ways you'd like to
  35. enrich yourself.
  36. Always be sure to review that live lab schedule.
  37. That's a little screenshot overview of that.
  38. Be sure to access that in Google Classroom.
  39. It's elicit as live lab, and it's to the date
  40. you're looking across the grid, so each of the lab
  41. days is labeled.
  42. Everything's all organized.
  43. If you need a more explicit walk through over what
  44. your live day is, and when I feel free to
  45. contact the next thing you need to Dio is be
  46. mindful that if you're not in a lab or preparing
  47. for a lab or prepping for it, doing those materials.
  48. Please be working on a choice sports selection.
  49. That is a representation of you.
  50. That is a representation of me.
  51. So let's do each other a huge, solid and maintaining
  52. good academic integrity and continuing to progress, even though there
  53. might not be a great being shoved down your throat
  54. now for by people who are struggling a little bit.
  55. This choice board counts as a daily grade replacement eligible
  56. assignment, meaning that any daily grade that exists, that is
  57. not what you want it to be.
  58. It could be a 60.
  59. It could be a zero.
  60. It could be in a five.
  61. Completing those assignments on the board can replace that grade
  62. entirely, not major grades, just daily grades, but still a
  63. huge benefit.
  64. You know how that works.
  65. Take that opportunity, then be mindful that when you're in
  66. the lab, there's a lot to be mindful of.
  67. Honestly, be following the lab safety procedures and protocols, especially
  68. if you are at home or face to face.
  69. It doesn't really matter.
  70. It's It's extremely important that you follow those sanitation procedures
  71. because it's in good health and wellness and good food
  72. safety for my learners that are absent on a day
  73. over their lab or a synchronous on a day?
  74. Or are a at home learner who might not have
  75. supervision during the time or whatever other scenario that renders
  76. you unable to follow the lab schedule that I have
  77. on the board.
  78. You can do your lab as scheduled on my board
  79. with me, and I'll have the meat open for you
  80. to pin on pin in and ask questions.
  81. Or you could still do that life a synchronously as
  82. long as you take five photos of documentation or a
  83. two minute video, either, or if you wanna take both
  84. great but only what's required.
  85. But what's required for both is that you have to
  86. have active supervision.
  87. So, like your first part of your video needs to
  88. be a parent or guardian like Hey, I'm right here.
  89. I'm I'm here toe put eyes on them.
  90. That's extremely important to ensure, so that makes it to
  91. her. Even if you're absent, you're not losing an opportunity.
  92. But be mindful that we are not providing ingredients to
  93. school at home learners or learners who have alternative lab
  94. days assigned, so you're gonna have to provide your ingredients
  95. in your materials.
  96. You will have to kind of think about that.
  97. And I think that's all we gotta talk about.
  98. I hope this video gives you a well enough kitten
  99. kaboodle about what this choice board could look like.
  100. You could really touch on Lee just that first grid.
  101. And that could be your entire week.
  102. Or you could bunny hop around the whole grid.
  103. It's totally up to you.
  104. Have fun.
  105. Enjoy it.
  106. And I cannot wait to see what you cook in
  107. the kitchen this week.
  108. Have a great week.
