00:08 - 00:10
I'm kristen with that busy.
00:12 - 00:16
I came to lake country as a student in the fall of 1987.
00:16 - 00:22
Um, it's one of the first times I remember making a decision of faith.
00:22 - 00:27
I finished sixth grade at a public school and knew I could not go into seventh grade.
00:27 - 00:29
I had friends who were students at
00:29 - 00:32
Lake Country and had attended Lake Country musicals
00:32 - 00:35
for the elementary school and I knew that was where I needed to be.
00:35 - 00:38
And I remember coming home and telling my mom it's
00:38 - 00:41
time to fill out registration for seventh grade and I,
00:41 - 00:45
I can't, I can't go to that public school. And she said, well let's pray about it.
00:45 - 00:48
And so she and I continued to pray for months.
00:48 - 00:53
Um, and the week before school started, my dad came in and said,
00:53 - 00:55
let's let's call that principle.
00:55 - 01:00
And suddenly the desire of my heart came true and I came to Lake
01:00 - 01:07
Country in seventh grade as a wounded um little girl With very little confidence and
01:07 - 01:15
I found friendships that have spanned 40 years almost and I found teachers who
01:15 - 01:18
loved me and cared for me and prayed with me and prayed for me.
01:18 - 01:20
And it became a place where I have blossomed
01:20 - 01:23
and grew late country allowed me those opportunities to
01:23 - 01:28
be involved in a way that I might not have had in a much larger public school.
01:28 - 01:31
God began to do something in my heart as I went on
01:31 - 01:35
my first mission trip as an adult and something changed in me.
01:35 - 01:38
I remember coming home.
01:38 - 01:41
We have been to England Scotland and Romania and a world
01:41 - 01:44
wind 13 day trip and sitting on the plane coming home,
01:44 - 01:48
I knew that my life had been changed and that opened
01:48 - 01:50
the door for me to begin doing more missions work.
01:51 - 01:56
I became the missions coordinator like country and led a total of 27 mission trips
01:56 - 01:58
um all over the world
01:58 - 01:59
and
01:59 - 02:01
getting to have those moments but getting
02:01 - 02:04
to experience them with students and watch
02:04 - 02:08
students have that aha moment as they understood that God was bigger than America.
02:08 - 02:11
Um the God didn't just speak english.
02:11 - 02:17
Those were the moments that were so pivotal and and shaping in in my life.
02:17 - 02:20
It's funny when I went away to college and I would come home for the weekend,
02:20 - 02:24
I really worked hard to always get back to the lake country before
02:24 - 02:28
school got out to see my friends who were still there to see teachers
02:28 - 02:31
who meant so much to me and uh there was always a sweet
02:31 - 02:33
moment of walking in the door and seeing my mom there at her desk
02:33 - 02:34
and knowing that
02:35 - 02:36
it just made everything right with the world.
02:37 - 02:39
If you're thinking about enrolling your kids at LCCS,
02:40 - 02:46
um LCCS cannot save your child, LCCS cannot create the perfect environment.
02:46 - 02:50
LCCS is not without challenges.
02:50 - 02:52
Um kids are kids
02:52 - 02:54
and citizen,
02:54 - 02:58
but if you're looking for a place for your
02:58 - 03:00
child to be surrounded by Godly men and women
03:00 - 03:03
who love the Lord first and have a passion
03:03 - 03:07
for teaching and instilling that love in your students,
03:07 - 03:09
then this is the place for you.
03:10 - 03:16
If you want a place where you can become a part of a family to walk alongside you as you
03:16 - 03:21
equip your child for what God has called them to do and who God has called them to be.
03:21 - 03:23
The LCCS is a place for you.
03:23 - 03:23
Okay,
03:24 - 03:25
