  2. So steps to find out about the event and resources.
  3. You can go with the email from what's the buzz telling you
  4. about the days the archery range is open and where to go.
  5. Um, you can also look at the clubs that are suggestive,
  6. especially incoming freshmen
  7. and you can always ask an ira what the type of clubs there are.
  8. And then they can also put you on the e mailing list
  9. and you can also check the baldwin Wallace rec center,
  10. instagram page where they advertise archery,
  11. what
  12. Um, they do events.
  13. One such event is the annual Turkey shoot, which this year it's on Wednesday,
  14. December one, it's in the sack and they're providing snacks, games and prizes.
  15. So for archery and how it supports BW
  16. students and how it's connected to VW's mission.
  17. Archery supports building walls, Students to get exercise,
  18. have fun and meet others with similar interests and
  19. in general just make friends in the club itself,
  20. people were able to progress quickly and
  21. students would teach each other
  22. and they were all working towards their goals
  23. and it's connected to the bottom Wallace
  24. mission because it's in pursuit of academic excellence and students
  25. learning to find if they have a passion towards archery
  26. Engagement,
  27. students can just show up and take turns shooting
  28. at the targets after being told the rules,
  29. it takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30 and it's in the sack
  30. during the fall and winter and during the summer it's behind the stadium.
  31. Students can get more info by emailing kate bowers,
  32. Christine varga or Caroline kessler.
  33. So our experiences, so for me, every person in the club was super welcoming,
  34. welcoming.
  35. Uh,
  36. they taught me the rules of the range and they let me shoot almost as soon as I came in.
  37. Um, they also taught me the stance to shoot in.
  38. Um, they were very helpful and encouraging when teaching me how to shoot the arrow.
  39. And I even found progress within my first session
  40. for my experience.
  41. I went during the first ever meeting and a lot of freshman went,
  42. which was great for meeting a bunch of people in the same level as you
  43. and we're learning to shoot. The first thing they did was teach us the rules
  44. and then some terms so that we could understand what they were talking about.
  45. And then right after everyone took turns
  46. up at the target shooting
  47. and
  48. you would get individual help from not only the club leaders,
  49. but as well as other students who were progressing more than
  50. you so that you could be just at their level as well
  51. when waiting to shoot. You were also
  52. meeting a bunch of people and they were all super friendly and we all just,
  53. that's like,
  54. and I have gotten progress from every lesson.
  55. No,
  56. so resources. So the archery does have a video up on instagram
  57. um showing off archery,
  58. you can also email kate bowers christian varga and Caroline kessler
  59. and these are some extra pictures we had.
  60. I had taken several pictures of students just shooting
  61. and getting their stance
  62. and getting help as well from other students.
  63. Yeah, I took some pictures of Christine,
  64. showing us and showing us how to do the
  65. stance herself and some people putting away some Arabs.
  66. And I'm gonna show the instagram video now.
  67. Are you sure?
