00:02 - 00:06
Hello, everybody. Um Welcome to my pre
00:06 - 00:12
presentation where today I'm going to be discussing unhealthy food choices.
00:12 - 00:13
So let's go ahead and get into it.
00:14 - 00:19
So basically we're gonna be discussing, you know, what healthy foods are,
00:19 - 00:23
what unhealthy foods are just the benefits, the cons and
00:24 - 00:28
what we can do. Um Just so we can eat better and live longer.
00:28 - 00:29
Um
00:30 - 00:32
And to just always make sure that we are
00:32 - 00:36
conscious about what we are putting inside our bodies.
00:36 - 00:38
But um everybody
00:39 - 00:40
has uh
00:41 - 00:46
their go to for fast food, you know, everybody has their likes and dislikes
00:47 - 00:50
and we all have our guilty pleasure. So
00:50 - 00:53
let's get into it. Let's get start.
00:58 - 01:00
Ok. So now
01:00 - 01:03
we're gonna discuss what exactly are unhealthy foods.
01:03 - 01:05
I mean, obviously this is like a no brainer.
01:06 - 01:11
Um but just to clarify, unhealthy foods are foods that can be processed,
01:11 - 01:15
fried foods, fast food and increased calories,
01:15 - 01:18
increased fat and it lacks nutrients.
01:18 - 01:21
So, an example, you know, like mcdonald's Taco Bell,
01:21 - 01:25
Popeye's Pizza Hut Burger King, you know, things like that and
01:26 - 01:30
just in particular, just anything fast that you can get, you know, it's not
01:30 - 01:33
always the healthiest no matter what like I,
01:33 - 01:36
I even think like even with subway like it's just,
01:36 - 01:41
it may be a little bit healthier but you just never know. You know. So
01:41 - 01:43
that's that.
01:44 - 01:47
Ok. So now let's move on.
01:47 - 01:50
So some fast stats for us, right?
01:50 - 01:57
So nine in 10 Americans consume way too much sodium and nearly 100
01:57 - 02:03
and $73 billion a year is spent on health care due to
02:03 - 02:07
obesity and then the leading cause of death is heart disease.
02:07 - 02:11
So, in the US, um 42% of, of adults
02:12 - 02:15
have obesity, which is crazy.
02:15 - 02:18
Like once I read this in the article, I couldn't believe,
02:18 - 02:23
I mean, I could believe, but I also just, those numbers are just jarring.
02:23 - 02:25
They're very jarring, bro.
02:25 - 02:26
All right.
02:27 - 02:29
So OK, you know what?
02:29 - 02:34
And, and obviously we love to look at the negatives of an unhealthy
02:34 - 02:36
uh diet, but
02:36 - 02:38
we know
02:38 - 02:42
what, you know, we kind of know what the positives are what keeps us there, right?
02:42 - 02:46
So obviously it tastes amazing most of the time.
02:46 - 02:49
You know, sometimes it's just really good, you know what I'm saying?
02:49 - 02:52
It's just really good, you know, you have a sweet tooth or you just have a craving
02:53 - 02:57
and it's just nothing can solve that craving but that, you know, unhealthy junk,
02:57 - 02:59
you know, everybody likes junk food,
02:59 - 03:03
you know, it saves a ton of time on lunch breaks, you know.
03:03 - 03:08
So there's that and you're able to save money over a long period of time. So a
03:08 - 03:13
lot of the fast food is very cheap, you know, and it can satisfy, you know,
03:13 - 03:15
your hunger for the moment, you know what I'm saying?
03:15 - 03:16
So
03:16 - 03:19
these are often, even though there's very little positives,
03:19 - 03:25
these things are like huge, especially in our society where we're always on the go,
03:25 - 03:27
we're always going, we're always working like we're,
03:28 - 03:30
we don't really have time, you know.
03:30 - 03:31
So there's that,
03:32 - 03:35
ok, let's get into it. So
03:36 - 03:39
we got some harmful effects here going on. Ok.
03:39 - 03:43
You know, it's very clear, you know, everybody knows about this. But
03:43 - 03:46
do you really, you know what I'm saying? Like, so
03:46 - 03:51
one of them is being overweight and obesity, which I mentioned before and
03:51 - 03:54
this is the leading cause of contracting harmful
03:54 - 03:57
diseases to the body such as heart disease,
03:57 - 04:02
you get diabetes and having a stroke could be possible like just cancer,
04:03 - 04:04
you know, and
04:04 - 04:08
once you rack up all these kind of diseases on your boat,
04:08 - 04:12
like due to this many disabilities that are possible,
04:12 - 04:16
you're gonna be liable to having outrageous hospital bills, bro.
04:16 - 04:17
Like
04:17 - 04:19
it's gonna be a lot. So
04:19 - 04:22
these are essential, it just
04:23 - 04:25
very informal effects, you know,
04:25 - 04:29
you just need to be conscious about what you're putting inside of your body,
04:29 - 04:29
you know.
04:30 - 04:33
And so now what can we do to incorporate a healthy lifestyle?
04:33 - 04:37
Well, let's try exercise and we could exercise regularly,
04:37 - 04:40
eat more vegetables and fruits, make more home cooked meals,
04:40 - 04:42
meal prepping will help us.
04:42 - 04:45
You know, because obviously it's time consuming and, you know, it's
04:45 - 04:48
one of the positives for getting a fast food.
04:49 - 04:53
Um, you know, fast food meal is time, but if you meal prep,
04:53 - 04:54
you won't have to worry about that.
04:54 - 04:55
You see what I'm saying?
04:55 - 04:57
And also drinking more water
04:57 - 05:03
and, you know, less soda, less juices and just limit how often you eat out.
05:03 - 05:05
You know, obviously we're not gonna never, you know,
05:05 - 05:08
not eat out like we're gonna eat out, but just try to limit it,
05:08 - 05:09
you know what I'm saying?
05:10 - 05:12
That will really help you a lot.
05:13 - 05:17
So here's the conclusion, guys, you know, we can still
05:17 - 05:21
have good tasting food and it can be home cooked meals, you know what I'm saying,
05:21 - 05:24
prepare your own meals, you know, it just takes some time,
05:24 - 05:29
you know, uh one day throughout the week, um and just make a meal,
05:29 - 05:30
you know what I'm saying?
05:30 - 05:33
And meal prep and that will like save you on time
05:33 - 05:36
and also you'll be getting all the nutrients that you need,
05:36 - 05:37
drink plenty of water
05:37 - 05:40
and just limit that time spending. Um,
05:40 - 05:44
you know, just, I mean that time eating out, just limit it, you know,
05:44 - 05:45
as much as you can.
05:45 - 05:48
It's possible, it takes attention and discipline,
05:49 - 05:51
but it can be done
05:51 - 05:53
basically. Ok,
05:55 - 06:01
so these are my references here. I got some from the CDC and some other places. Um
06:02 - 06:04
and that is pretty much it guys.
06:04 - 06:09
Uh Thank you so much for, you know, watching my present presentation.
06:09 - 06:12
I hope you guys learn something, you know.
06:12 - 06:14
Um Some of these things are just a no brainer,
06:14 - 06:19
but it's always a good reminder for those who are off track, like me
06:19 - 06:21
struggles with it.
06:21 - 06:24
Um But it's just, it's serious guys, you know,
06:24 - 06:28
we really have to watch what we are incorporating into
06:29 - 06:31
what we input into our bodies, You know what I'm saying?
06:31 - 06:35
Like it's, it's, it's a serious thing and we should treat it as such,
06:36 - 06:39
but that's all folks, you all stay safe out here.
