00:01 - 00:04
Hello, my name is Drew and this is my autobiography,
00:07 - 00:09
Who am I As an individual?
00:12 - 00:14
Well, I have a pretty broad range of interests.
00:15 - 00:18
I'm originally from baldwin High School in baldwin City Kansas.
00:19 - 00:24
Um I'm currently engaged to an incredible fellow educator, um
00:25 - 00:28
fellow future educator that is um, and we have a
00:28 - 00:32
cat together named Claude, which is short for Sir Claude
00:32 - 00:32
W. C.
00:33 - 00:34
The cat named after our favorite composer.
00:35 - 00:38
Um I love all sorts of stuff on campus.
00:39 - 00:41
I'm involved in um naphthalene, which is the National Association
00:41 - 00:46
for Music Education, um choir, the Associated Student Government and
00:46 - 00:48
um, Kay any A which is the Kansas National Educators
00:49 - 00:57
Association now, who am I as an academic?
00:59 - 01:01
Um, well, I decided to come to us you because
01:02 - 01:05
I really appreciated the size of the campus, how affordable
01:06 - 01:06
it was.
01:07 - 01:09
The teacher's college was very well renowned and because my
01:09 - 01:11
mom, who is the current high school english teacher went
01:12 - 01:15
here and very much recommended it.
01:15 - 01:17
Um I think one of my biggest strength as a
01:17 - 01:24
student is my everlasting curiosity and um how passionate I
01:24 - 01:26
can be about the things I decide to commit to
01:30 - 01:31
women. I as an educator.
01:33 - 01:35
Um well, I'm really passionate about the role that acquire
01:35 - 01:36
can have on people's lives.
01:36 - 01:40
I know that many people who acquires one of the
01:40 - 01:42
only reasons why they were able to get through high
01:42 - 01:44
school and I want to be able to provide that
01:44 - 01:45
outlet for my students.
01:45 - 01:49
Um I'm also really interested in applying sort of um
01:50 - 01:55
intersectional schools of thought in music education pedagogy and unique
01:55 - 01:57
ways that haven't necessarily been explored before.
01:58 - 02:01
And I'm also really into educational advocacy, and I want
02:02 - 02:04
to get into more of the political side of education,
02:05 - 02:08
potentially in the future to advocate and make our chances
02:09 - 02:10
as future educators better.
02:14 - 02:15
And that's it.
02:16 - 02:16
Thank you.
