00:01 - 00:06
most classes in college are you know, to study the
00:06 - 00:10
study the modules, study the contacts, get ready for the exams,
00:10 - 00:11
get everything
00:11 - 00:13
you need to do done to pass the class.
00:13 - 00:14
This class
00:15 - 00:16
has been something different.
00:16 - 00:19
It allows you to learn about yourself and how you
00:19 - 00:22
can function in a world within a business environment especially
00:23 - 00:25
and that's what I'm here to present today
00:25 - 00:26
my um
00:27 - 00:30
individual internal analysis, my name is Sean convoy,
00:30 - 00:34
I'm here to present what I've learned about myself from this class.
00:36 - 00:36
No,
00:37 - 00:41
first, I'm going to go over the highlights specifically of my individual analysis
00:42 - 00:44
and I'm not talking about the actions that I could do
00:44 - 00:47
to even improve more on from what I've learned about myself
00:47 - 00:52
and lastly I'm going to go on about the future that I can
00:52 - 00:55
bring for myself to make myself a much better for business professional.
00:56 - 00:57
Mhm
00:57 - 01:02
First off, the main point of the highlight and myself is my disc profile,
01:02 - 01:07
which is the dominant blue section is the color of this slide specifically for
01:08 - 01:11
someone who is very blunt, very task oriented
01:11 - 01:14
and someone who's for the goal instead of
01:15 - 01:16
more for the people
01:16 - 01:17
I guess you would say.
01:18 - 01:22
And I've also learned that I may have a logical intelligence, which is someone that
01:23 - 01:25
We'll put stats 1st.
01:25 - 01:29
The goal first brings us right back to the dominance disc profile,
01:30 - 01:31
very logical.
01:31 - 01:35
We need to get things done the right way instead of the way that maybe the
01:36 - 01:39
easiest for us or anything we need to get things done correctly.
01:40 - 01:44
Also a very good problem solver from what I've developed with, working with teams.
01:44 - 01:46
Sometimes a problem will rise,
01:46 - 01:49
I'd like to just take it forward and just get things done,
01:50 - 01:53
find the best easiest way to get it done so that we can
01:53 - 01:57
get to the desired goal of getting a good grade in this scenario.
01:58 - 02:00
I've also, my
02:00 - 02:05
conflict technique or influencing co workers is persuasion,
02:05 - 02:08
it's a very, it's a soft tactics, so it's not it's not,
02:08 - 02:10
it's not as brutal as the hard tactics,
02:10 - 02:13
but I do believe I should focus more on some hard tactics
02:13 - 02:14
becomes of this stuff.
02:15 - 02:18
Um I've learned that I'm a very good leader
02:18 - 02:21
from this class and being a blue disc profile,
02:21 - 02:24
learning very dominant and can take control or
02:24 - 02:29
when needed if needed in a desirable team setting
02:29 - 02:30
and I'm
02:30 - 02:32
good at finding people's
02:32 - 02:36
um strengths and allowing them to use it to their best ability.
02:36 - 02:38
Now, some of the actions I can do
02:39 - 02:40
of the bad things that
02:41 - 02:43
about this and make me more of a professional.
02:43 - 02:48
Something I really need to work on is my communication skills, as I said,
02:48 - 02:51
I'm a very task oriented person, so I like to put
02:52 - 02:56
the goal in mind and head and sometimes that's pushing away someone's
02:56 - 02:57
um
02:57 - 02:59
opinions or even feelings
03:00 - 03:02
and I need to listen more and be able to
03:02 - 03:06
um become more people oriented and be able to listen
03:06 - 03:07
and do as
03:08 - 03:11
some people may also want, it is not my world
03:12 - 03:15
and uh I
03:15 - 03:17
do struggle with a little bit of listening.
03:17 - 03:22
So something I can learn to do is not just learn to listen, I can listen,
03:22 - 03:23
but something that really
03:24 - 03:26
reaches out to me as being a blunt,
03:26 - 03:28
that type of person is interrupting
03:29 - 03:30
people because my,
03:31 - 03:34
my thoughts just kick in and I'm like, wait, this will help us,
03:34 - 03:36
but I need to let people finish their entire thoughts,
03:36 - 03:40
especially a superior at work or something like that.
03:40 - 03:44
I need to let them speak their mind and then then I can give my
03:44 - 03:47
input after listening to everything because sometimes my
03:47 - 03:49
questions could be answered or opinions could be
03:50 - 03:51
differed in that way.
03:51 - 03:54
Also I believe I need to create a schedule for myself
03:54 - 03:58
because that will make me as a business professional
03:58 - 04:00
and just anything in life run a lot smoother.
04:01 - 04:02
Also,
04:03 - 04:09
I can never be afraid, don't be afraid of who you are, what you do. Like me being such a
04:09 - 04:14
dominant in blood person isn't all bad, he just has to be utilized in the right way.
04:15 - 04:17
Now.
04:17 - 04:18
Finally,
04:18 - 04:22
the future for me a smart goal I'd like to set for myself is when the next two years
04:23 - 04:26
to find not only a job, but I need to,
04:27 - 04:28
something measurable.
04:28 - 04:31
I can set for myself is to get my resume completed as
04:31 - 04:34
good as it can and get it out to multiple sources,
04:34 - 04:37
attend networking events and everything like that,
04:37 - 04:40
become the best version of myself through this. Being able to get
04:41 - 04:44
what's good for me out there and let someone like it and
04:45 - 04:45
one of
04:45 - 04:48
take advantage and have that in within their company.
04:48 - 04:50
This has been more than just a class.
04:50 - 04:54
This is something you can learn about yourself and what you can do,
04:55 - 04:59
and this is will help you definitely secure a brighter future.
04:59 - 05:02
