  17. The number of individuals under five living below the poverty level is 3.6%
  18. and the number of individuals over 65 living below poverty level is 25.6%.

  20. Now for the boundaries of Meadville, Meadville is surrounded by North Sager town,
  21. East blooming Valley, South Cockerton in west Connie at lake.

  25. for the flora and fauna.
  26. So the woods are mainly on the outskirts of Meadville.
  27. I would say basically in the city of Meadville is just a lot of homes and businesses.
  28. Um there's obviously a lot of deer crossing signs because there's still plenty
  29. of deer and there's also planted flowers throughout the city as well.
  30. So now for the physical aspects of the community,
  31. there are a lot of large, older houses.
  32. Um, there's a lot of houses for sale right now, there's a lot of abandoned houses.
  33. There is the french creek that runs from Meadville disagree town,
  34. there's a golf course and there's also some playgrounds as well.
  35. So in the top right corner is one of the older style houses and then
  36. in the bottom left corner is one of the newer style houses I took pictures of
  37. for the economic aspects,
  38. there is a tops grocery store, there is a dollar general,
  39. a channel operating model where they make their own tools, a ford dealership,
  40. a downtown mall in the Lincoln recycling.
  41. So my pictures here, I have the ford dealership
  42. and they have the tops grocery store,
  43. so for services, they have a high school, middle school and elementary school,
  44. but they are all in separate parts of the city of Meadville,
  45. but all relatively close.
  46. They have a local library, they have high school
  47. sports fields but not any sports fields for the community to use.
  48. They have churches, DaVita dialysis center,
  49. they do have a hospital, but it is outside the boundary of Meadville.
  50. But they do have a mutual area hospital,
  51. they have a nursing home called juniper Village.
  52. And they also have Westbury, they have a local fire department,
  53. a local police department and they also
  54. have sidewalks for walking throughout the city.
  55. And for social aspects. They have an active aging center for older adults to come.
  56. They have different hiking trails, they have a bowling alley,
  57. they have local restaurants and they have a
  58. lot of beers or beer distributors and bars.
  59. So my pictures here,
  60. I have the active aging center on the left and then
  61. they have one of the french greek hiking trails on the right
  62. when looking at me those assets and needs some of the assets are that
  63. the community has a local police department
  64. and local fire department for emergencies.
  65. And that the community also has sidewalks throughout most
  66. of the roads in the city for walking.
  67. Some of the needs are that the community could use more healthy eating options,
  68. including more grocery stores.
  69. They mostly just have fast food chains and only one grocery
  70. store and then they could also use more social expects to
  71. the community such as a community center or different playgrounds and
  72. sports fields where people can come together and be more active.
  73. And then for Meadville potential health problems.
  74. I think obesity is one of the main ones because the city of
  75. Meadville offers various fast food chains and has one grocery store but does not
  76. offer a lot of whole foods options which could lead people to eat
  77. more fast food and not care about what they're putting into their bodies.
  78. And then my second health problem I chose was alcoholism
  79. because throughout the city of Ebola was taking pictures.
  80. I pictured seven beer distributors and over 30 bars and counting.
  81. And people have access to alcohol all the time.
  82. And due to the decrease in social aspects in the community,
  83. people tend to just drink to have fun
