  67. Questions are the questions we used to help the prospect
  68. understand and appreciate what real solutions can mean for their
  69. business. Our list of common objections and responses are part
  70. of our sales attack because no salesperson can be prepared
  71. for every possible objection.
  72. However, we know there are many frequently used objections prospects
  73. challenge us to answer.
  74. We are prepared by practicing appropriate responses to these objections.
  75. John I tried to tell a few years back and
  76. I had nothing but problems.
  77. I really don't want to go through that again.
  78. Byron. I'm really sorry to hear that.
  79. You know, like other companies sometimes we fall down.
  80. I can honestly say that I do business with dozens
  81. of builders who choose me because they know that when
  82. they call me, I'm going to take care of the
  83. issues that come up.
  84. Among the tools we use in our sales attack is
  85. our portfolio of products samples, marketing, literature, videos, webinars, white
  86. papers and industry experts, trade shows, facility tours, case studies
  87. and references to use in the quest for new business.
  88. Each tool has its place in the paella by horn
  89. sales process.
  90. We must learn to use these tools effectively plan and
  91. execute the attack.
  92. Earning a face to face appointment is a step often
  93. performed on the telephone and at other times in person.
  94. Our process includes becoming comfortable with our step by step
  95. method for convincing a prospect is worth her time to
  96. give us a face to face meeting.
  97. We employ certain phrases in a particular sequence to accomplish
  98. this objective.
  99. Our success rate is high, but we do run into
  100. a lot of roadblocks and there are times we have
  101. to try multiple times before getting the appointment.
  102. This is Byron.
  103. Hello brought Byron.
  104. This is john esterbrook.
  105. I'm calling from Pella windows and doors.
  106. How are you today?
  107. I'm doing great john what's going on Byron?
  108. I I've been noticing your wonderful projects all over the
  109. grand Rapids area and I can't help but think man,
  110. they'd look great with some Pella windows, you can talk
  111. about that, john that's very kind of you to say
  112. that I'm pretty happy with the guy that I've had
  113. has been around for 10, 15 years and so yeah,
  114. I appreciate you saying that though.
  115. Well, I'll tell you what, I certainly respect a good
  116. relationship between the supplier and a builder.
  117. I know they're kind of hard to come by, but
  118. you know, there are many reasons that our customers choose
  119. paella over other brands.
  120. For example, a lot of times they want, a salesperson
  121. is truly a specialist and expert on windows and doors,
  122. you know, to help them deal with all the complexity
  123. of, you know, that particular product.
  124. I does that sound like something that would be helpful
  125. to you?
  126. Well, I don't know.
  127. I thought of my guy knew plenty about windows.
  128. He's been around for 10 or 15 years and and
  129. um I would assume that he knows a fair amount
  130. about windows.
  131. Uh what what would make you different?
  132. Well, I think that again, I go back to the
  133. notion that all I do is focus on one brand
  134. of windows every day of my life.
  135. And I think you can appreciate the whole window and
  136. door category has gotten extremely complex with all the different
  137. choices, the different product lines and so forth.
  138. And I think my job is kind of the look
  139. out for my builders and keep them out of trouble,
  140. make sure they make good decisions and and of course
  141. there are always problems and when those problems come up
  142. they rely on me to fix them.
  143. Well what do I have to pay to get all
  144. that john it seems like paella is a little bit
  145. more expensive than what I would, what I would be
  146. putting in my uh my homes right now, I can
  147. appreciate what you're saying.
  148. We certainly are not the lowest price window on the
  149. market, but tell us a very different company today than
  150. it was a few years ago, we have nine different
  151. brands of windows, different materials, different price points.
  152. So what I find is that we almost always have
  153. a product that fits the budget of a given of
  154. a given project.
  155. Now, not everyone.
  156. But certainly I've looked at the homes that you're building
  157. and those are the kind of homes that we supply
  158. windows to all the time.
  159. Uh, I can appreciate and understand that, john, I'm, I'm
  160. just not sure that my customers really care that much
  161. about the windows that I choose.
  162. Is there any evidence to the contrary?
  163. You know, I hear that quite frequently and, uh, you
  164. know, a lot of customers are not well educated about
  165. windows. They don't realize the kinds of problems that they
  166. can run into with windows and doors.
  167. And, you know what I find is that when we
  168. make the windows an important consideration, it becomes an important
  169. consideration for the consumer.
  170. So my builders generally use the paella brand and its
  171. reputation as a way that.
