  7. I am mrs Jackson and it is my pleasure to present a
  8. little bit about myself and my overall goal for this course,

  10. I have been um teaching for eight years now.
  11. Um I've taught grades ranging from kindergarten through
  12. eighth grade and I've taught all subjects and so
  13. I want my focus for you guys is to grow no matter what level you on,
  14. I'm ready to take it to the next level and even higher and even higher.
  15. So let's get ready so we can work hard and meet our goals.
  16. Fourth grade english language arts in this course, we will read a lot of books,
  17. we're gonna read a lot of novels, were gonna interact with each other,
  18. we're gonna work on spelling,
  19. we're gonna work on writing because we want to get ourselves ready for college,
  20. We want to get ourselves ready for adulthood and
  21. whatever career career choice we choose to take.
  22. Um some of the skills we will cover in this course will be parts of speech
  23. similes and metaphors, punctuations,
  24. double negatives and of course spelling and of course reading as well.
  25. Course content.
  26. We're gonna use a variety of course content so that
  27. we can tap into our brains and be engaged and
  28. learn So some of the course content we will will
  29. will consist of lectures which will I'll keep it brief.
  30. Um visual materials, class discussions, assignments, exams, audio video,
  31. text topics,
  32. media
  33. and even working with your partner
  34. or a group,
  35. here's some of the instructional media that we will include in this course.
  36. Of course, clever,
  37. clever is our our big platform where we are able
  38. to access all of the other um media applications.
  39. So we're gonna start our day off with clever, we're gonna um
  40. I will present our lessons and instructions via learn zillion
  41. E L.
  42. Um we're gonna of course use the google classroom to submit assignments
  43. and also so that I can post announcements for you guys.
  44. Um Reworks dot org. We're gonna do Brain Pop and Brain Pop JR depending on your age.
  45. Um eh Epic is also another great um instructional media.
  46. So um and actually I want to go back to Brain Pop.
  47. Brain Pop, We're going to um use just Brain Pop,
  48. not Brain Pop JR cause Brain Pop JR is kindergarten through third grade.
  49. So I just want to um
  50. let you know that that's what we're gonna be using it
  51. in some other learning platforms we'll be using as well.
  52. So we're gonna have fun in this course we're
  53. gonna have an opportunity to learn and grow.
  54. Get up and move around, work with our partners,
  55. um work with each with each other and then
  56. also dive deep into english language arts via instructor
  57. media. Once again, this is just a short um course
  58. introduction video.
