  1. Hi, I'm Hailey boss and I'm representing Central High Schools.
  2. Fbl A under the category publication design.
  3. An essential question we had to ask ourselves this past
  4. year was how do we bridge the gap between normal
  5. life and life during a pandemic?
  6. I believe we do this using creativity.
  7. For example, an aspect of normal life that was affected
  8. by the pandemic was recreational travel.
  9. We weren't able to go see the world.
  10. So what would stop us from bringing the world to
  11. us? I present to you a travel junkie subscription box.
  12. The Travelers Treasures Subscription box.
  13. This box would provide fires with a book, a candy
  14. sample, a snack sample, a small clothing item, a small
  15. trinket and a limited edition sticker that all pertain to
  16. the featured country of the month.
  17. Mhm. Although this service would attract a very wide array
  18. of people, the target audience would be parents, especially those
  19. of younger Children, travel enthusiasts and food enthusiasts.
  20. So to begin creating my publications, I wanted to create
  21. a simple yet informative logo.
  22. Mine is versatile and could be reused and tweaked and
  23. all of my publications, and it sticks with a consistent
  24. color theme of blue, yellow and green.
  25. I used three different formats for my designs to create
  26. optimal attraction for buyers, posters, social media and print slash
  27. mail in ads.
  28. The first type of design that I chose was posters.
  29. One of the obvious benefits of posters is that they're
  30. large and eye catching, especially when using bright colors.
  31. They're extremely informative, but my use of categories made it
  32. digestible for the viewer.
  33. Um, they have a wide reach because of strategic placement.
  34. Placing posters in populated areas such as grocery stores, malls
  35. and post offices would allow for ah lot of the
  36. target audience to view it.
  37. Posters also connect the real world to the Internet by
  38. naming the Instagram handle and the website of the brand
  39. in the bottom right corner.
  40. Finally, posters are cost effective for brands that are just
  41. starting out.
  42. It's more realistic to buy something that will give you
  43. more bang for your buck, and obviously you get ah,
  44. large poster for a reasonable price.
  45. The second form of advertisement that I used with social
  46. media. More specifically, Instagram, you're able to specially curate your
  47. content on an out like Instagram by promoting and re
  48. posting and posting content that you support and show the
  49. values of your brand.
  50. Because Instagram is the third most popular social media platform
  51. to date, it is extremely relevant right now.
  52. And because the Internet isn't going anywhere anytime soon, there's
  53. a sense of longevity with this type of advertisement.
  54. It's also extremely accessible and easy to find this brand
  55. by searching keywords like travel, travel, subscription boxes, culture things
  56. like that on the Internet will lead you to this
  57. page. Finally, this type of advertisement attracts a younger audience,
  58. and we'll bring in younger clientele.
  59. Finally, I used to print and mail and adds as
  60. a form of advertisement.
  61. This provides an opportunity for partnership with other brands, such
  62. as magazines like Travel and Leisure and Backpacker We as
  63. a brand Travelers Treasures would get exposure by being in
  64. these travel magazines, and these travel magazines would receive a
  65. profit by strategically partnering with relevant magazines, magazines that match
  66. our own views and subject.
  67. We would attract specific clientele.
  68. Did double sided feature of this ad allows for easy
  69. purchasing because the client knows exactly what they're buying from
  70. the front and is able to fill out their information
  71. on the back.
  72. Finally, although this form of advertisement may seem outdated, it's
  73. actually strategic because it would attract an older audience, maybe
  74. retirees who are interested in travel and food.
  75. I used three main websites to create my designs.
  76. The first of those websites was picks obey.
  77. They have a plethora of royalty free image is the
  78. one I used was the clip art of the Continents
  79. and I was able to use this throughout my publications.
  80. The second website I used was Can Va, especially on
  81. Instagram. The benefits of this website are that it's incredibly
  82. user friendly and free.
  83. It's popular in social media as I stated before, but
  84. there's slight controversy surrounding it in the graphic design world.
  85. Some graphic designers say that it negates the need for
  86. graphic designers and are against this website, while others believe
  87. if used in the appropriate context, it is a good
  88. website. Finally, I used poster my wall dot com.
  89. It's incredibly user friendly and easy to make designs on
  90. a larger scale that provide more information for the buyer.
  91. It's popular in social media and education.
  92. At the moment, the goals of travelers treasures as a
  93. brand are to educate their buyers about the world around
  94. them and about cultures around them.
  95. It's also to appreciate the world around you and things
  96. you may not know about yet.
  97. Finally, travel Travelers Treasures would give back to the world
  98. to global causes and, uh, donate a portion of the
  99. proceeds to global causes such as Covad Relief, Food Security
  100. and Disaster Response.
  101. These are the sources I used for research, and this
  102. presentation is recorded on Prezi.
  103. All content and pictures used in this presentation are public
  104. domain.
