  1. for the purpose of this project.
  2. We have analyzed data and evaluated the need for an after school program,
  3. which will be titled the elite eagles program.
  4. This will be a mentorship program which will focus on
  5. primarily students, males who come from fatherless homes.
  6. The reason we've decided to focus on such an
  7. area is data as it relates to the public policy
  8. Institute of Marion County has presented statistics behind the
  9. concerns that we've seen at Oak crest elementary school,
  10. fatherless students are 20 times above the national average to commit suicide
  11. And in additional data facts,
  12. we find that 90% of these students are homeless or will run away
  13. when analyzing the key data findings.
  14. We break this down into four areas of focus and how it will impact our students,
  15. which will again drive the budgetary concerns.
  16. The first focuses that school staff will need to
  17. be paid in order to stay after school.
  18. A school stipend will be paid for the
  19. one non instructional staff member and once
  20. teacher instructional staff member who will guide and implement this program.
  21. The second focuses that transportation will need to be need to
  22. be provided as well as materials such as paper and ink
  23. snacks and the core manners curriculum.
  24. The culmination dinner at the end of the program,
  25. which will be a chance for the boys
  26. to showcase what they've learned their etiquette,
  27. their social skills and have their parents as a date for the night.
  28. We'd like to treat and award our students for their end of
  29. program achievements and that will need to be sponsored by the school club
  30. And the biggest focus is that there will need to be a
  31. curriculum provided to focus on the SCL and to monitor the data
  32. when we look at the data collection in order to monitor the budget.
  33. We see that students will need to be collecting data on
  34. themselves and creating goals and we will need to monitor the
  35. data of students as they attend these meetings and will track
  36. their data as well as attendance discipline and participant surveys.
  37. All of this data will be gathered and housed in the student information system here
  38. on your screen you can see that there is a snippet of the Skyward system.
  39. We can find information for our students on attendance grading discipline.
  40. Um Current and past grades as well as their high school project. Ary and G. P. A.
  41. This data will give us a chance to create and
  42. create a long term projection as we track our students
  43. because the program outcomes that we would like to see tied to student engagement,
  44. increased attendance,
  45. decreased office discipline referrals and an increase
  46. in their social awareness and social skills.
  47. Another platform where data may be tracked is performance matters.
  48. We can see again too
  49. um graft representations of attendance rates
  50. as well as a graph that can track our discipline rates where we
  51. can access more information on our students as it aligns to the budget
  52. here on your screen.
  53. You'll see that the budget shows an overview of the expenses and income
  54. Expenses will range from three range to $3,680.
  55. And the income will be that as well at $3,680.
  56. When we compare the two,
  57. we can see that most of the expenses will be spent on food
  58. snacks and water for the program as well as the culmination dinner
  59. being that this school that this is focusing in as an extended learning school.
  60. The program will be later in the day. So an after school snack is a necessity.
  61. Another big expense is stipends.
  62. We see that over half of the income
  63. will come from the Marion County Public Education Foundation
  64. as well as the other grants here listed and hopefully a
  65. sponsorship by the business partner and other in kind donations.
  66. The program is broken down into an eight week program.
  67. First, it will kick off on March one,
  68. and conclude on April 26,
  69. there will be an eight week program along with a weekly data analysis
  70. and check in by the leadership team to continue monitoring growth and progress.
  71. But at about the halfway point on april 1st,
  72. we'll do a budget check in with our school based secretary,
  73. making sure that our finances are meeting the project ary.
  74. When we look at the data as it's presented for this program in the budget.
  75. We see that it falls into four categories as
  76. listed on your screen and within those four categories,
  77. we can predict that this is a healthy budget that meets the requirements
  78. of the grants and will overall be beneficial and the income matches expenses.
