  1. being Vinnie.
  2. Those welcome back to school.
  3. I am Senor Marble.
  4. I'm a Spanish teacher here, at least Summit West.
  5. And if you're watching this video, then I assume that
  6. I'm working with either you or your parents.
  7. Um, so with whom I'm talking to here, welcome to
  8. this. Interesting start to the school year.
  9. Now, since we're starting virtually this makes this year especially
  10. interesting. And it will come with its challenges for sure.
  11. Um, I need to talk about two websites here.
  12. The first one being school aji uh, which is where
  13. students are going to turn in their homework and where
  14. they will access quite a bit of their information from
  15. I would think all of their teachers.
  16. Um but also, just as important to this class is
  17. gonna be my website HLA class.
  18. Say they espanol dot or ge.
  19. Um, I've had this website for a few years now,
  20. but I took this summer and I completely redid it.
  21. So it is new.
  22. So if you had me for Spanish one you're still
  23. gonna need to go back and look through that again.
  24. Toe, see where things are at and how it's organized.
  25. Has organized a lot better now in a way that
  26. I think even without being a school, you will be
  27. able to access it and understand what's happening on the
  28. top of the website if you go to class city
  29. espanol dot org's um, you guys air in Spanish, too,
  30. So when you see the drop down menu there, you
  31. see only that Cinco say, see at the Osho and
  32. the titles of each unit.
  33. So in Spanish One, uh, we went through any that,
  34. you know, a Quattro.
  35. We did units one through four.
  36. Now we'll be doing units five through eight in Spanish,
  37. too. First unit is less.
  38. Bakassi owns where it will be talking about traveling and
  39. vacation time.
  40. Um, using the verb with the stars Verba star with
  41. emotions and present progressive form and pronouns and all kinds
  42. of good stuff in unit dose or in this guy
  43. safe right on for decomp.
  44. Ross will be talking about shopping.
  45. Um, and this is also the unit to where we
  46. start, uh, talking in the past tense in all of
  47. Spanish one.
  48. We spent a little time in the present tense.
  49. Now we're gonna talk about things that have already happened,
  50. and that will take us mid year.
  51. So when we come back in January, Well, assuming we
  52. come back, I don't know if we're gonna be virtual
  53. or uh or back in the room at that point.
  54. But in January, Either way, we'll start unit three or
  55. you need God, see if they on talk about daily
  56. routines Lothian and the Adia.
  57. This will talk about reflexive verbs and things like that.
  58. And then finally, to finish out the year Lacko Media
  59. food You talk about foods, make comparisons of food, talk
  60. about which foods are the best or the worst and
  61. things like that for assessment.
  62. Lami make this a little bit bigger, so you guys
  63. can see what's going on with it.
  64. So the grating skill for Spanish?
  65. Ah, well, for Spanish wanting to its both the same.
  66. So for Spanish to is, you know, the ninety to
  67. one hundred isn't eighteen eighty nine, b seventy, seventy nine,
  68. c sixty, sixty nine d sixty and below.
  69. Well, don't do that.
  70. Um, so and again, it's a Spanish one, but Spanish
  71. to same thing.
  72. Forty percent of your greatest, based on productive assessments, thirty
  73. percent for receptive listening type activities and thirty percent is
  74. just homework and practice activities.
  75. Um, and my little sign, they're kind of covered it
  76. up. That's supposed to say ten percent of the grade
  77. is the final exam, and there'll be a final exam
  78. in December as well as may more June whenever we
  79. get out of school this year.
  80. Okay, this individual meeting was send your marble, this congee.
  81. This calendar can be accessed by students on ah, both
  82. school Aggie or my website.
  83. And it is a place to where I think one
  84. of the most challenging things we're gonna have with the
  85. virtual learning is being having students being able to access
  86. their teachers and schedule meetings with them.
  87. And that's what this is designed to do is set
  88. up like ten minute blocks for a student that needs
  89. help, They can get on there, and we'll use Google
  90. meat too.
  91. Um, discuss whatever issue you're having with the class and
  92. see if I can get John on track and my
  93. contact information is here.
  94. They always say, Put the school phone down in the
  95. voicemail. The e mail is by for the best way
  96. to get a hold of me.
  97. The only way I would ever knew that you left
  98. a message on that voicemail is because eventually it would
  99. send me an email, so you might as well just
  100. start there.
  101. Um, let's see.
  102. And I believe that is my last slide here.
  103. So welcome back.
  104. Look forward to having a great year with all of
  105. you, Uh, looking forward to the challenges of this virtual
  106. learning. All that as well, So Well, let's have a
  107. great year.
  108. Talk to you later.
