Good morning Spartans easter morning announcements

for monday december the sixth.

We only have one more monday left in this calendar year.

So let's get to it wanted to honor and celebrate our holiday tree which is up

on display at Fernandez park And throughout the

weeks leading up to the holiday season.

Great time out on saturday. So proud of the interact club.

If you're a member of interact right now, thank you,

you made our city and our community better for the work that you put in on saturday.

There's a bunch of games being set up

to play by the little kids.

This is one that we liked in particular,

kind of a jingle bell game where you had like bells wrapped around your belt and then

somebody would shake you and the bells would fall out and never saw that game before.

But it was very popular. Great job all the way around. Thank you everybody.

Uh, awesome weekend for speech Sheila Mckinney.

Epic big tournament filled the gym and the

small gym over 20 teams competing and yeah,

we had a winner to read McLaren won a

medal for best outstanding performance for lower weight wrestlers,

Richie Gomez and 8-6 victory.

We've got to wrestling tournaments going on this week here at school,

Wednesday and Thursday

five oclock. Either be a part of it.

If you haven't seen it before, it's great or join it.

We still have places for both boys and girls in all weight levels.

That happens today.

After school practice,

Boys soccer practices today after school at four

o'clock at helm's on monday and Wednesday.

They have a busy week games on Tuesday and thursday

we want to honor our second athlete of the week.

First one's Read the second one's Orazio Perez,

who's winning it for the second time this year.

Five goal performance in an eight nothing victory over Hercules.

Congratulations boys.

Basketball continues to roll four and one on the year

after taking their second over the weekend beating Mountie Apple.

This is a school that beat the Spartans last year this year.

You can see it wasn't even close 67 to 31. Congratulations!

The fellas have three games this week.

They tip off tomorrow at Kennedy. That's the first league game of the season.

Then back home thursday against college prep cheer is going to be there.

So join us on thursday and then friday we've got a home game against john sweat,

which is another league game.

So that's very cool. Warm coat drive continues.

Look, we know it's a little chilly this morning,

but by noon time you won't be needing that coat.

Perhaps you'll never need it again.

Turned into the front office and others will benefit from your generosity.

Welcome home Ryan Yamamoto. This is a kid who was from the class of 1989.

Not a kid anymore. He is a news anchor who is going to be featured on K. P. I. X.

Channel five tv and he's coming back today to visit his old school.

This is where he got his start as a journalist.

And so if you see us outside at 11 a.m. This morning,

just wave and congratulate Ryan who is making a triumphant return

to the bay from the place he started pinole valley.

That could be you

uh faculty meeting today after school. It's not gonna be live, it's gonna be remote.

But I was tired of showing zoom pictures so that's what you

get tutoring time tomorrow we are back in business Tuesday through thursday.

An especially good time to get going.

We're gonna have yet another adult tutor here tomorrow.

So our service is going to be expanded.

Don't forget Wednesday Law Academy is doing some

tutoring work up in the groovy lounge.

So lots of opportunities.

In fact the only thing you can't say is that there's no chance to get help.

Our librarian wants to know if you've got a blurb or a recommendation.

She'll put her on a book so others can see it in.

Teachers let us know what you're reading and put that outside your door as well.

It's always a great time to read

and it's always a great time for poetry. This is this is awesome.

This is the week of code and an opportunity for

each and every one of us whether or not we

have a great deal of computer experience or not to

learn how to do coding to create a great page.

If you can create something like this this one actually moves and is more visual.

We're gonna learn how to put these things

on the morning announcements as well starting tomorrow.

But imagine having a fluid motion filled poem um

with the images that you want to choose.

Don't imagine it make it happen. If you make it work send it to us.

We'll figure out a way to show the rest of the school. E sports

has a great gift which we're gonna show tomorrow as well. There's a lot of

teasing about what's coming tomorrow isn't there?

I think we're inspired by our newscaster coming back anyway.

Did you know our cafeteria serves organic everyday now you do,

it's a bean and cheese burrito with spicy salsa today or

in Applegate hot dog is the best kind of hot dogs.

All this stuff is organic and free to you as students.

Also organic breakfast teachers. If you're interested in $3.50

which is definitely better than not eating.

Uh We have our cafe opened for business monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Make sure you make your order teachers and uh it

will be delivered to your door scholarship from burger King.

Not quite at the same realm as these other foodstuffs but burger king is

gonna try to make good and give out up to $50,000 in scholarship.
