  4. My name is Bart Blalock. I made Curcio
  5. number 579 in November of 1995.
  6. I was raised in Northern Arizona, attending ST Francis of Assisi parish in
  7. Sigman.
  8. I grew up around
  9. Curcio and I'd been singing
  10. decol
  11. since I was a young child.
  12. I am married to my sweet Debbie since 2000
  13. in the year 2000 for 24 years.
  14. And we have one son, Aidan who's 21 years old.
  15. We're current parishioners at ST Thomas Moor in Glendale.
  16. And I've also had the privilege to be part of a group since 2001.
  17. We've been meeting very consistently
  18. for all of this time and it's been a great joy and a source of great growth.
  19. So I just want to do a quick shout out to my group brothers. Hey, guys,
  20. professionally. I'm a registered nurse.
  21. Uh I serve as the director of Case management for Triwest Healthcare Alliance
  22. and we work with the military and veteran community on their health care needs.
  23. I'm humbly seeking the opportunity to serve as the precursor
  24. chair for the Secretariat.
  25. Uh We know that this position is is responsible to ensure
  26. the selection and preparation of candidates who will live a curio
  27. in the Diocese of Phoenix.
  28. And I believe that there are key strengths that are required to be successful.
  29. Naturally, it always starts with prayer and, and continuous prayer.
  30. Uh Another thing I I notice is that
  31. and the need to eject
  32. an immense amount of joy.
  33. You want to be people that are attractive to others
  34. in such a way that they want to experience Christ,
  35. the way that we know we can
  36. through perso
  37. and then organization uh being organized, getting things together,
  38. but knowing full well that there's no way that
  39. one person could be successful in this role.
  40. And it would take
  41. an entire community, a committee of folks who are dedicated
  42. uh towards the goal of,
  43. of making those friends and bringing those friends to Christ.
  44. I am one that really seeks to find joy in everything
  45. and we know through our Cruso
  46. talks that it's essential to attract others
  47. um that authenticity
  48. um being a friend, uh a joyful friend, somebody that,
  49. that people want to be friends with
  50. and also with leadership, you know, being somebody who's approachable
  51. and somebody who's willing to lead others to Christ.
  52. And of course, all of this takes prayerful practice over uh our lifetimes.
  53. So I thank you for the opportunity and the consideration to serve as the
  54. precursor
  55. chair.
