00:03 - 00:05
Hi everyone, this is Sarah, I'm part of the marketing
00:06 - 00:06
team here or for construction.
00:07 - 00:09
I'm just going to take a few minutes of your
00:09 - 00:11
time to talk to you about the dues and don't
00:11 - 00:12
have social media.
00:12 - 00:15
I use social media a lot to represent worthless brand
00:16 - 00:18
out on the internet and I just want to make
00:18 - 00:20
sure that you guys have the right tools that you
00:20 - 00:23
can build your personal brand and also represent us positively
00:24 - 00:25
out internet world.
00:26 - 00:28
So to start, we're just going to go into a
00:28 - 00:30
little bit about how wonderful is using social media.
00:31 - 00:35
We primarily use the top four as I like to
00:35 - 00:38
call them types of social media, facebook twitter instagram and
00:38 - 00:39
linked in.
00:39 - 00:42
Um, and we use them to do a variety of
00:42 - 00:42
different things.
00:42 - 00:45
So we use them to educate our clients to share
00:45 - 00:49
company news and successful project milestones to interact with clients
00:49 - 00:52
and trade partners to recruit young talent and to show
00:53 - 00:54
that waffle is an awesome place to work.
00:56 - 00:58
So if you're going to be using social media and
00:58 - 01:00
I'm not here to say you need to go out
01:00 - 01:01
and create a social media account.
01:01 - 01:03
But if you are already on one of these platforms,
01:04 - 01:06
there's a couple of things you can do to help
01:06 - 01:10
us, you can like or follow at waffle CC, it
01:10 - 01:13
looks just like that on twitter and on instagram, um
01:13 - 01:16
you can search that on facebook, it looks pretty similar.
01:17 - 01:19
Um and if you need help navigating to Lincoln, I
01:19 - 01:19
can help you with that.
01:20 - 01:23
I definitely recommend that you like or follow our trade
01:24 - 01:26
partners and clients, especially the ones that you work with
01:26 - 01:29
very closely and I like to recommend that you share
01:30 - 01:31
or retweet our post.
01:32 - 01:34
Um and this example that I have on the screen
01:34 - 01:37
is an excellent example of that where one of our
01:38 - 01:40
interns from a couple of summers ago shared a video
01:41 - 01:43
that we posted and said check out the super cool
01:43 - 01:44
project. I get to intern on this summer.
01:45 - 01:48
I really like that because social media is all about
01:48 - 01:52
making personal connections and if you're sharing what you're doing,
01:52 - 01:54
you're getting more people invested in what we as company
01:55 - 01:57
do. So those are some things to do on social
01:58 - 02:00
media. Now, here's a couple of things to avoid.
02:01 - 02:04
You shouldn't use Wuerffel's name or logo without getting permission
02:04 - 02:05
from someone in the marketing department.
02:06 - 02:08
We're not trying to bully you into doing things that
02:08 - 02:10
you shouldn't should or shouldn't do.
02:10 - 02:12
But we're here to just give you some advice about
02:12 - 02:14
what it looks like and making sure it meets our
02:14 - 02:14
brand standards.
02:15 - 02:18
You shouldn't reply to any negative posts or comments that
02:18 - 02:18
you hear about Werfel.
02:19 - 02:21
There is a pretty standard way to do that that's
02:22 - 02:24
agreed upon in the marketing industry.
02:24 - 02:27
And we've had some pretty good experiences when we've gotten
02:27 - 02:28
those types of negative post.
02:28 - 02:31
If we can respond in a certain way, it usually
02:31 - 02:33
helps someone take them down faster.
02:33 - 02:36
So if you find any of those, let us know,
02:36 - 02:39
but don't respond to them yourself, don't share any confidential
02:40 - 02:42
information that you might know about a project.
02:43 - 02:45
We often don't post about a project until shovels are
02:46 - 02:46
in the dirt.
02:46 - 02:49
You all know that those things can change very quickly.
02:50 - 02:51
So we just want to make sure that we're sharing
02:52 - 02:54
information that should be public and wouldn't be upsetting to
02:54 - 02:54
our clients.
02:55 - 02:58
And remember you are a representative of waffle now, so
02:59 - 03:00
you wanna make sure that you're never disrespectful or rude.
03:01 - 03:03
That can be really difficult in today's social media environment.
03:04 - 03:05
But we want to make sure that we're behaving ourselves
03:06 - 03:08
the way we would want a client think of us.
03:08 - 03:11
And that being said, a good rule of thumb is
03:11 - 03:12
if you wouldn't say it in front of a client,
03:13 - 03:14
shouldn't say it on social media.
03:16 - 03:18
Now. What can you as a wonderful employee due to
03:18 - 03:19
help us grow?
03:20 - 03:21
There's a couple things you can do.
03:21 - 03:24
You can share photos with the marketing team of work
03:24 - 03:27
from your perspective out in the field or in the
03:27 - 03:29
office. If you're someone who's in the office, you can
03:29 - 03:33
share things that reflect our commitment to safety and you
03:33 - 03:36
can share exciting events and milestones that you're seeing on
03:36 - 03:37
a job site or before we get to the job
03:38 - 03:40
site. Um, we have a very standard process of how
03:41 - 03:43
we make sure that clients approve of all of these
03:43 - 03:46
things. But sometimes you guys are able to capture really
03:46 - 03:47
cool photos out in the field.
03:48 - 03:49
And so the photo that you see over here, this
03:50 - 03:52
is a project was finished a couple of years ago
03:52 - 03:54
that the project manager took a great photo and send
03:55 - 03:56
it over to me and we posted it and that
03:56 - 03:57
all sorts of great interaction.
03:58 - 04:00
So those are just a couple of things you can
04:01 - 04:03
do to help Werfel social media presence grow.
04:04 - 04:06
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to become
04:07 - 04:08
seeing one of us in the marketing team.

Give us a call shoot as the text.
04:10 - 04:12

04:13 - 04:15
