SOUNDPROOF PLAN!
Materials
Reducing sound requires adding surfaces that will absorb the sound instead of allowing it to bounce off.
Drywall
Green Glue Sealant
For Insulation:
Cotton from old pillows
Old mattresses
Old drapes/blankets
Old heavy fabric furniture cushions
Old rugs/shag carpets to cover the floor
Anything we can find that can be save instead of throwing them away in the trash. (Either from home or from neighbors, friends, and relatives)

Conclusion
Introduction
For our project, we had to consider five elements that goes into soundproofing,
1. Mass (drywall):
Any solid object that is thick and heavy will block sound. Mass impedes the transmission of sound.
2. Absorption (glue):
Adding some kind of absorbent material, such as green glue in between several layers of drywall will reach the same outcome
3. Decoupling (air space between):
With decoupling, gaps are inserted into parts of the structure, preventing the vibration from continuing along its path.

4. Damping (filling the airspace with insulation):
The effect of damping the walls is to reduce or eliminates stored energy that is created by sound.
5. Conduction:
To reduce the conduction of a structure, we inserted mechanical breaks, such as cuts or dampening the walls/structure.
How to get the money?
Our band, We're Filipino, plan to create soundproof walls in Uldarico's garage to allow us to practice our acoustics without disturbing anyone else.

We have five years to earn/save the money and we plan to do them through:
Saving money from our Birthdays & Christmas
($50 x 2; $100 x 2 = ~$300)
Perform at small events, churches/outside conventions
($150 per gig)
Babysitting
($10 x 52 days =$520)
Mowing lawns
($10 x 12 days = $120)
Part time jobs: GAP, Starbucks, Vons, Jollibee, KBBQ, etc.
Minimum wage ($9 per hour)
Building Layout
Garage Measurements:
24ft Length
22ft Width
14ft Height
City Permits/Time Schedule
Legalities: a permit can be received through express through near by offices. For small projects, it would only take about an hour or so to complete

Time Schedule: Workers would only spend 3 days a week in the garage from 4:00pm to 6:00pm for convenience.
We'll clean and empty the garage ourselves before construction.
PLEASE MOM AND DAD, help us become famous and successful!
This is just another step into our greatness.
We tried to come up with the cheapest but also efficient way to soundproof our garage for our band practices.
The total cost is reasonable considering that we will raise the money ourselves and we won't bother any of the neighbors.
ALL WE NEED IS YOUR PERMISSION!!
Total Cost - $1,000.00

We plan to spend no more than $1000 on all the materials and costs. We can get these materials through Home Depot, Lowes, or even online if it's cheaper.
