Sad, upset, ironic, and kind of sarcastic
Rhyme Scheme? Pattern?
Meaning of the Poem?
The meaning of this poem is that it is sort of ironic how some things can cause a reaction you wouldn't expect or how a "friend" won't be there for you when you need them. It's basically saying life is not all fun and games. You get hurt and things don't go the way you want them to.
Literary Elements?
assonances (forever, never)
alliterations (always, accompanied)
hyberoles (forever never seems to last)
sarcasm (she's saying things are funny that really aren't funny at all)
repetition(repeating "its funny how...")
irony (how you'd expect a friend to be there for you but they really aren't in the end)
personifications (hello is always accompanied with goodbye)
