Aqua Dots
What were the ethical issues involved?
What are Aqua Dots?
Bindeez (also marketed as Aqua Dots, Beados, and Pixos) are a children's toy. Bindeez contains a craft kit that allows children to create various multi-dimensional designs using small colored beads.
What other, if any, factors contributed?
Another factor that contributed was that it's really obvious that children are not supposed to eat the toys. Younger children though, are of course too young to know this so they go around pooping whatever they find into their little mouths.

The ethical issues involved were the fact that these toys were contaminated with a dangerous substance. The fact that these items were sold for the specific use of children is incredulous.
