Language is the greatest thing ever invented, it is the best way of communication, through it people can express their feelings, emotions, thoughts and views, we can understand each other.

Language is the heart, the soul of a nation.
We must keep our native language alive and cherish it, because language is the road map of a culture, it tells you where its people come from and where they are going.
The English language
Where do languages come from?
Language- the Treasure of a Nation
The english language belongs to the indo-european family and it is very old.
Initially of Germanic origin, it has been replaced around 500 B.C by Celtic language.
In 449 the Germanic tribes-the Angles, the Saxons,the Jutes invated Britain. So appeared the languages North Germanic and West Germanic.

Until 1000 the language- Old English
From 1066 until 1475- language Middle English
FRom 1500 until present- Modern English
Other language families are:

Semitic, (includes the current languages Hebrew and Arabic)

Ural-Altaic(includes Finnish, Hungarian).
Is a plastic horn, which produces a loud monotone note.

Around 1-1000 A.D many of these directions split more and so appeared the languages existing today.
English was very much under influence of French.
French words in English :
banquette
-a long upholstered bench or a sofa.
brunette
- a brown-haired girl.
croissant
- a crescent-shaped bread made of flaky pastry
madame ,mademoiselle
omelette
-dish made from beaten eggs cooked quickly in a pan.
Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery
A staycation is a period in which a family stays home and participates in leisure activities within driving distance, sleeping in their own beds at night
