Persephone's name means ''to destroy'' and ''murder''.
Persephone is also named Kore or the maiden.
Persephone ate six pomegrante as a way of breaking free from her mom.
The Romans knew her as Proserpina

Demeter, Persephone's mom, was looking everywhere for her when she got kidnapped by Hades. In one moment though, she realized that Hades took her. She rushed to Zeus, Persephone's dad, and threatened that if he doesnt get her back she will never make earth green again; So then Zeus commanded
Hades to give her back.

Life of Persephone
Persephone was born in 376 BC by Zeus and Demeter. At age 14 she got kidnapped by Hades, the king of the underworld, when she was picking flowers. Hades took Persephone to the underworld along with him because he loved her. Then Persephone was forced to marry him.
