CONTENTdm & Viewshare

I was invited to show how I integrated viewshare (a free web application) & CONTENTdm (a digital collections management software). I recorded the process but was unable to use the videos at the 9-27-12 webinar so I decided to “prezify” my slideshow.

Viewshare Workshop held in January 2012 by Trevor Owens. It begins with a 10 minute overview followed by a 30 minute demonstration and ends with a Q/A.
On Viewshare
Data Sets: http://viewshare.org/data/etrcdigital/

Views: http://viewshare.org/views/etrcdigital/
&
Viewshare
Export entire collections
Views are effected by local styles so creating a simple html or php page resulted in the best layout. It also required the least amount of css manipulation. The viewshare user guide has more information about embedding views. http://viewshare.org/about/userguide/#s4.0
Step 6:
Embed in CONTENTdm

Examples:

Tyler Museum of Art: http://digital.sfasu.edu/cdm/landingpage/collection/TMA

Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors:
