1839 Cricket was played on afghan soil by british troops.
1933 Afghanistan Football Federation was established.
1936 Afghanistan competed for the first time at the summer games and no medals were won.
1999 They were banned from olympic competition because of Taliban.

To many afghans buzkashi is not just a game, but a way of life where teamwork and communication are essential to being successful.
