There is a sliding/gliding joint called the saddle joint in your thumb.
They connect muscles to bones. There is a tendon called the Achilles tendon.
They have two purposes: to connect bone to bone and keep the tendons in place.

Types Of Joints
There are three main types of joints: hinge, ball-and-socket and the gliding/sliding joint.
When you think of muscles,you think of your biceps the most.
Your radius and ulna and your tibia and fibula are the only groups of two bones.
