By:Jaden Acanfrio Diary of a Wimpy Kid:The Third Wheel Rate and Recomendation Summary Reading Passage Conclusion A valentine's day dance at Greg Heffley's middle school has turned his world upside down. As Greg scrambles to find a date, he's worried he'll be left out in the cold on the big night. His friend, Rowely, doesn't have any prospects either, but that's a small consolation. An unexpected twist gives Greg a partner for the dance and leaves Rowley the odd man out. But a lot can happen in one night, and in the end, you never know who's going to be lucky in love. Greg meets a girl named Abigail and falls in love with her. He asks her if she wanted to go to the dance with him and she ended up saying yes. But during the dance they weren't having a great time together. Greg notices something on her neck, it was a pimple and Greg started to scream and said "you are so disgusting." Then Abigail ran into the girls room and started to cry. Rowely ran over to the girls room and started to cheer her up. After the dance they went out to a restaurant with Greg and that is where Abigail and Rowely fell in love. So in the end Greg Heffley was left behind wondering if he would ever find a girlfriend. This was a really great book. During the end of the story, The main characters are Greg Heffely, Rowely Jefferson, Manny Heffely, Rodrick Heffely, and the mom and dad. I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 and i would recommend it for readers who love a good laugh. This was an excellent book and i hope you get to read it. I think the funniest part in the book was when Greg said in his diary "I finally have a date for the dance but it is not going so well, my girlfriend has a pimple on her neck and while she is hugging me, the pimple is touching my skin and it is so gross, i screamed like a little girl and ran away." I think that was the funniest passage in my book because of the reaction in the book of him screaming like a little girl. The authors tone is laughter.
