Transcript of TECHNOLOGY

Technology eases daily life with the expanded access to information, communication, and the efficiency of actions and processses. For example, cellphones, computers, and even video games can help us in many ways like cooking or listing to music and or simply talking to others.
The first robot created in 1738 was a mechanical duck that was able to eat and digest grain, flap its wings, and excrete.
Robots offer specific benefits to workers, industries and countries.
Robots can improve the quality of life by freeing workers from dirty, boring, dangerous and heavy labor.
Industrial robots can work tirelessly night and day on an assembly line without an loss in performance.
Humanoid robots
A humanoid robot is a robot with its overall appearance based on that of the human body
Valkyrie is a one-of-a-kind marvel developed by NASA. It was designed to operate in dangerous environments, such as exploring the surface of other planets or performing external repairs at the International Space Station.
Surgeon’s Operating Force-feedback Interface Eindhoven.
Linda van den Bedem from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) has created a prototype surgical robot that does provide tactile feedback
The scientists use beta-amyloid proteins in order to create a organic material that is twice stronger than Kevlar.

Flexible display phone
There have been monumental advances in the trasportation technologies.
The globalization has caused the changing of the cities in the world and the way of moving between them.
There are wonderful technological inventions of transportation nowadays.
Autonomous Cars
You can take your hands off the wheel
Let the car do the driving for you
Audi A7
Automatic-pilot system
'MagLev' Trains
Shanghai, China
Do you believe in the magnetic levitation?
MagLev is a method which an object is kept afloat only by action of a magnetic fiel.
In only one century we have changed from letters and telegraph to mobile phones and social networks.
Mobile phones harbor 18 times more bacteria than a flush handle in a typical men's restroom.
MagLev Train Transrapid
It has the objective to operate beating human hearts.
The surgeon would see a static heart on a 3D screen in the masterconsole and the robots would attune themselves to the heart's movement, overcoming many of the risks of existing heart surgery techniques.
Robot Surgeons
This innovation prevents blood loss by sealing the wound with micro sponges that have coagulant to stop bleeding fast.

Microsponges have a coagulant derived from shrimp and are compressed into a quarter of its original size
Syringe that allows close gunshot wounds in seconds
It was manufactures by Hammacher Schlemmer. The cost it is around $149,95 USD.

The pillow prevent snoring through a system of sensors and microphones which allow the necessary adjustments in the height of the head to improve breathing without interrupting the user while sleeping.
Pillow to prevent snoring
It is a new device for blind people to restore their eye sight, it offers black and white vision
It will facilitate the user to watch television and to identify faces, thank to 600 pixel resolution but they wouldn't drive or read small letters.
The implant procedure just requires 30 minutes and local anesthesia.

It works capturing the visual cues such as a camera and then turn them in electrical signals, that stimulate neurons to create images in the brain.
Actually the only problem is remove the plastic in the syringe once entered into the wound. One option could be to make it biodegradable.

The company responsible for the development is called RevMedx and signed a contract with the U.S. army for 5 million dollars.
