Transcript of Albrecht Durer

Albrecht Durer Durer left his wife and traveled for Italy, possibly because there was a new plague in Nuremberg. He made his first trip to Italy and it lasted for two years, then he returned to Nuremberg. Durer was born in May 21, 1471. His home town was Noremberg, Germany. His father was also named Albretch Durer and his mother was Barbara Durer, there were a successful goldsmith family. Durer married Agnes Frey in 1490. This was around the time when Durer became interested in art. Durer was a great painter, engraver, printmaker, mathematician, and theorist. He was mostly known for his painting and engravings. Durer's paintings were very real looking and
almost seemed 3D. His paintings amazed people
