See eye-to-eye with sea turtles, eels, snakes alligators The home of North Carolinas first governor, it has nice gardens and archetectual treasures. Fort Fisher Fort fisher was the last major stronghold of the confederacy and the scene of the two largest naval bombardments. Bentonville Battlefeild home to the largest civil war battle in North Carolina where more than 80,000 soldiers fought. North Carolina Attractions North Carolina Mountains Features 20 acre water Park 112 acre amusement park has 50 world Class rides, shows, and attractions Dismal Swamp is Living History. One of the oldest continually operating man made Canal. 16.7 miles of Hiking and Mountian Biking trails and a 500 foot boardwalk. The gentaly sloping nautral waterslide on Looking Glass Creek 11,000 gallons of water per minute surging over it's surface and a 6 foot deep pool at the bottem. Grandfather Mountain Look out from a mile high swinging bridge in all directions and see native wildlife. Blue Ridge Parkway blue ridge parkway is a nice place with small mountain towns national forests and rivers. Smokey Mountains National Park the smokeys are some of the worlds oldest mountains with hundreds of miles of hiking trails and rivers.
