Azure Needs to Patch Hosts Sometimes
Machines in the same availability set get put in different fault domains.
One fault domain is patched first.
Once the first is restored, the other is taken down, ensuring at least some of your servers are always up and running.
Use different AV Sets for each group of servers, for example:
AD-AVSET
ADFS-AVSET
SPWFE-AVSET
SPAPP-AVSET
10.0.0.0/8
172.16.0.0/12
