-Mousetrap Board Game Greasers are the lower class in the 1960's. The term Greaser actually comes from their greased back hair style. To do this they used hair grease, cream, and waxes. Many considered them the hoodlums of society. A teenager might join a gang because of family troubles or to "lay off steam". Many joined for the sence of protection from others (which is ironic because they are hurting others). Others joined because they felt the only way to express their feelings was through violence. Gangs back then used to be (and still are) very violent, many times their violence leaded to killing or injuring others. 3 major things that happened in those 3 years In 1963 John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

In 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. made his "I Have A Dream Speech"

In 1961 there was almost a nuclear war between the U.S.A. and the soviet union.
