1st week was used to get acquainted whit the virtual class
Social forum for introductions.
Access problems were resolved.
2007 - Important restructure: NMS switched from the Air Force to the civil service.
The best way to carry it out was to work together with the weather station manager and sent by post handbooks for the students.
Meteorological observations have been a priority for the NMS; the need of training surface observers has always been present.

2009 - Reading material was digitized and send via mail.

The distance training incorporates some internet tools.
2013 - The Training Department was reorganized based on 2009 assessment from WMO, and taking into account the 2012 Peru´s Workshop experience.
Implementation of E-learning resources
5000 km from north to south.

130 observation stations: aeronautical, synoptic, climatic, automatic, radiosounding.

Considering the implementation in virtual mode, the curricula were redesigned both in content and activities.
The team was expanded: we summoned tutors from different NMS areas.
Meteorologists, teachers, specialists in distance education made up a new team.
Personalized support by the tutors.
Emphasis on the use and practice of both conventional and digital instruments.
95% passed all the final exams in this first term.
Form more trainers for Moodle platform.
