Solar energy is converted to chemical energy by producers
Chemical energy moves from prey to predator
If an organism does not recieve the energy it needs, it will not survive into the next generation.
Consumers are responsible for getting the energy they need from the organisms they naturally consume. When analyzing the food web remember that:
1 insect card= 10 insects
1 grass cards= 100 grass plants
each level of a pyramid represents an entire trophic level, not an individual type of organism Resources to accompany

It originates in the digestive tracts of cattle
Feedlot cattle eat an unnatural grain based diet that increases the acidity of the rumen
Bacteria that develop in an acidic rumen are more likely to be acid resistant
Our digestive systems cannot cope as effectively with acid resistant bacteria (4) Science and social ethics. Scientific decision making is a way of answering questions about the natural world. Students should be able to distinguish between scientific decision-making methods (scientific methods) and ethical and social decisions that involve science (the application of scientific information).
