The necessity of both Critical and Creative Thinking Knowledge is generated through the
interaction of critical and creative
thinking. left brain vs. right brain "skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing,
and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated
by observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or
communication" Critical Thinking Creative Thinking "is the merging of ideas which have not merged before." So... which is more important? Critical and Creative thinking in the arts. Which would you rather be known as? The Critical thinker who scores extremely well in critical thinking assessments, can solve problems and think logically but lacks the creativity to generate new ideas OR The Creative thinker who is known for
their originality and flexibility, but lacks
the ability to reason and analyze which will be
successful/well recieved Creative Thinking Critical thinking But how do they work together
to create knowledge? Does our education sway
us one way or another? In conclusion - BOTH are vital in order
for knowledge to be generated. Without
creative minds assesed by those with critical
reasoning - knowledge would not be obtained. Frank Ghery
