Transcript of Dead Frontier

Dead Frontier started as a simple survival game where the player was placed in a darkened city full of zombies and evil beings, armed with only a hand gun and a torch the player would have to complete certain tasks to finish the game for example they would have to escort npc survivors across the city from point to point. People enjoyed the game because it was unique and a never seen game before, it combined the element of survival with genre of horror. Also unlike many games it had a bird eye view of the game so you could look down on the player How Dead Frontier Was Brought To Life Dead Frontier was made and developed by the company Creaky Corpse, made by Neil himself The game was enjoyed that much the public demanded that it was made multilayer On April 21 2008 the game was released to the public as a beta version. Actual multilayer and pvp was released on July 15 2008 allowing players to team together and play the game or fight against each other. A player run market inside the game was created on October 1 2008 to facilitate trade between the players. This a just a few types of infected found in dead frontier when it was released Reaper Tendril Bone Bloat Fat zombie lulz Fast bitch 1 hit k0 Mike tyson... Just fat... lol jk spits food at you And this is bone's big brother... Meet Titan... There was never an original cost for the game because the developer Neil was a one man team although to progress the game further Neil introduced a new feature called "gold member" like every game they offer you a certain bonus or special 'membership' if you pay for it . Being a gold member offered so much in the game for example extremely better looting chances and the amount of exp you receive when out in the city killing zombies, also you received credits which could be spent in the special part of the outpost which could buy you special weapons and armour. You would also received credits which could be spent in the special part of the outpost which could buy you special weapons with special stats like a mp5 4/4/4 which would cost 40 credits people would later sell the credits in the markets and make money which could be spent on items what other player have looted in the city. The players could not resist so Neil gradually made money and used this to develop the game further by 2012 the game had progressed so much from the 2008 beta version to the 2012 3d version. 2008-2010 2d version 3d version... The game Dead Frontier was a fairly fast game to make despite the actual sheer size of the map and vast amounts of coding what went into it and also a one man team did make the actual final game rather fast he also made the games which started the multiplayer version of, Dead frontier: Night 1, 2 and 3. Night 1 Night 2 Night 3 There was never a dead line for the game because he made developed it whenever he could it was just a game which was being developed slowly bit by bit The resources which Neil used to make Dead frontier was a free game engine called Unity 3d it is a widely used game engine which is very good considering its free many great games have been made with Unity 3d like: Shadow gun and Dead Trigger. Shadow gun Dead Trigger The key roles what was undertook to develop and create the game was all undertook by Niel Yates. Niel later hired personnel to his team after his game Dead frontier grew in size This is Neil... Neil used to work for the games company jagged blade, from a young age he was making games and coding he later moved onto making his own games like Xeno Assault Dead Frontier is based on a city similar to New York but it is named Fairfew, it is approximately 25 miles in all directions it is a box city, because there is no actual physical characters in the game their was no green screens or studio used to make this game it was just him and his computer and skills. There were no problems with the location because there was no actual texture or real buildings in the game they were only for show but later added a feature where you could go inside the building and loot whatever was inside, when this feature was released you could go in over 10000+ buildings so the game was absolutely huge It was deep and exciting, the inner city was full of giant sky scrapers and banks and pharmaceutical building e.g hospitals and clinics everything about a large city was implemented in Dead Frontier There were no problems with the location because there was no actual texture or real buildings un the game they were for show but later added a feature where you could go inside the building and loot whatever was inside, when this feature was released you could go in over 10000+ buildings so the game was absolutely huge There was no age restrictions on the game, it started out as a 12 age rating and it has stayed at that since the beta was released to the public this is mainly because you can control how much gore is in the game via the graphical options for the game and there is nothing too offence in the game which could upset some players, except trolls..... Conclusion... Any questions?
