Every word we use,
is a part of speech.
Proper Noun


A specific place, person or thing.
All proper nouns are Capitalised.
Examples:
Holy Innocent's Primary School
Kelly
Singapore

Plural Noun
More than one person, thing or idea
Most nouns are made plural by:
adding an 's' or
adding 'es'
Possessive Noun

Shows that a person, place or thing, owns something.
Usually uses apostrophes
Collective Noun
Refers to a group as one
team
class
herd

Compound Noun
A word made up of one or more nouns

Football, Facebook, Bagpack
Pronouns replaces Nouns
Takes the place of the name of a person or a thing
I, me,you, he, she, it, him, her, we, us, they, them
Possessive Pronoun
takes the place of a possessive noun
Reflexive Pronoun
reflects action back on the noun or pronoun just named
Interrogative Pronouns
