Naegleria Fowleri is a brain eating amoeba that is part of the Kingdom Protista, part of the Phylum Sarcomastigophora, part of the Class Acarpomyxea, Part of the Order Schizopyrenida, Part of the Family Vahlkampfiidae, Part of the Genus Naegleria, and part of the Species Fowleria.

Since Naegleria is a harmful creature, humans have been trying to find a drug or some sort of treatment to help victims of this brain eating amoeba. The CDC has finally freed up a drug that could potentially eliminate the threat of Naegleria fowleri. This drug is called miltefosine.
How do humans affect it?
This brain eating amoeba has affected humans in quite a few ways. One of the biggest is that it infects the brain. This happens when water that is contaminated with the amoeba enters the victims sinus. Once it enters the brain, it begins to destroy the brain tissue.
How does it affect humans?
The brain eating amoeba has three stages in its' life cycle, one of the is the trophozoite. This has a granular structure and it has a single nucleus. The trophozoite then reproduces through binary division which is part of promitosis. When conditions are non-favorable the amoeba goes into a flagellate stage. During this stage the amoeba does not feed on anything, and they are inactive. When the amoeba is in one of the two previous, it enters a stage called a cyst. During this stage the amoeba forms a smooth, single-layered wall with a single nucleus. It is spherical and about 7 micrometers in diameter. The cyst is environmentally resistant in order to increase the chances of survival until better environmental conditions occur.
Life Cycle of the Naegleria Fowleri
Naegleria Fowleri typically lives in warm water, or in hot springs, but it is sometimes found in chlorinated pools. This amoeba typically favors warm water, but in some cases Naegleria fowleria was found in lake michigan.
There is some evidence that is saying that Naegleria fowleri evolved from a Naegleria gruberi, which shares very similar restrictive enzyme patterns as it. This is the most probable evolution evidence about Naegleria fowleri. There is also some evidence of adaptation as well. As I stated before, Naegleria is native to warm bodies of water, but there have been cases of people being victims of it in Lake Michigan.

The genetics of the Naegleria Fowleri has not been determined yet. Although they have discovered the DNA sequence and everything else for it's close relative Naegleria Gruberi, scientists have not been able to find out the genetics for Naegleria Fowleri

The Naelgeria Foweleri specifically targets the brain of any organsism. It doesn't typically have a predator, but humans have been trying to find medication to prevent getting harmed by it.
Close Relatives of the Naelgeria Fowleri
There is one close relative of Naegleria Fowleri that is believed to have been the source of evolution and that is Naegleria Gruberi. Naegleria Gruberi is a non pathogenic organism and it is mostly found in wet soil or fresh water. It is not harmful to humans and it does not bother us either.
